  1. For your consideration is a Garmin GPS MAP60CSx, Palm PDA, City Navigator-North America, Topo US 2008, 1 GB SD card, 2 auto mount brackets, and an auto power cord. All items we purchased at Cabela's or from Garmin directly. Why am I selling all this stuff? I'm just not interested in geocaching right now and would like the cash to invest into some other hobby. Garmin GPSMAP60CSx: The unit is in great shape and comes with box and all literature and boxed accessories (manual, belt clip, USB cord, and lanyard). I also have a photo copy of the original purchase receipt from Cabela’s. Original receipt and UPC were submitted for rebate. There are no scratches on the screen and there is a little wear rubber hand grip. Palm PDA: This unit is in great shape. It is a Palm IIIxe that is perfect for paperless geocaching. The PDA is in great shape and comes with a stylus pen and HotSysn USB connect cradle. 1 GB SD card: Only four months old and encoded once. The chip is stored in the water tight battery compartment of the GPS and with it you can store a lot of maps (e. g., I have most of the eastern USA and Texas stored with road and topographic maps). City Navigator-North America: This in an unopened package of DVD maps. It contains detailed maps of the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Topo US 2008: This is a complementary copy directly from Garnin. I will provide email documentation. I complained that I had just purchased the prior version of the Topo maps and had inquired prior to the purchase when the next version would be released. No one at Garmin knew any thing so I purchased the Topo package. Then what do you know, the following week 2008 Topo comes out. 2 auto mount brackets: Both are in great shape, one is a window suction mount by Garmin and the other is an adhesive mount by Garmin. Auto power cord: This is in great shape. Used to connect the back of you GPS receiver to you car AC power/cigarette light adaptor. All items from a smoke free household. All items will be packed and shipped with care. Let me know your location and I'll have it preloaded for you to go geocaching with nearby geocaches, road maps, topo maps, and geocaching data loaded into the PDA. That way you can take it out of the box and start geocaching right away.

  4. It is more like forum threads than PAF or spoiler logs. ? ET's Favorite Cache GC17P8Z ? Eastbound And Down GC17RHT ? Lurking GC15X6R ? Now is the Time for all good men to come... GC17Y89
  5. We do something a little different at Easter. We hide the kids' baskets somewhere around the house. Mind you we have four children. We then have four different colored scans of yarn and run it everywhere--through the chairs, under table, over lamps and light fixtures, under the sofa, up and down the stairs, into the garage, though the cars, outside around the trees, in the cupboards, etc... We then tie the ends onto the respective child's door knob and just hope that there is no fire in the house that night. When the kids wake, it usually take them about 20 minutes to follow the yarn to their basket of goodies. They cannot cut the yarn and have to roll it up to get to the end. This allows my wife and I to get a cup of coffee and sit and watch the great entertainment. They have a blast and it is something a little different for them to experience.
  6. If you are down the street in Dublin, come up to Delaware and look at my puzzles.
  7. I use mine to calculate and map my trail and road runs. I also used it to lay out a middle school cross country course.
  8. I tried it for a less than a week and found it very slow. I returned and kept my Garmin Map60 CSx.
  9. My Stacked went almost 8 months in the heart of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Hidden on: 8/27/2006 FTF: 4/25/2007 by CanUcIt It has had one other individual finder and then a large group came and attacked.
  10. I feel your pain. I had the same thing happen to me on Resurrection. I even posted a "Needs Maintenance" log stating that the cache needs to be listed as a mystery or letterbox hybrid. Still nothing has been done. I wasted about 15-20 minutes when it should have been a PnG. The cache owners' have another cache and it looks to be the same but this time the clues are in the hint without any indication in the cache page text. So if you use hints as last resorts, this one may put something you don't want in your Wheaties!
  11. I've used grease from my mountain bike chain, blood, and chlorophyll in different instances.
  12. I'm using FF, that is why it goes to the old MS site.
  13. What happened to the Local Live Map Link on the cache page? You know the one with the Bird's Eye View. An example here on one of my web pages that used it. Better yet, does anyone know how to go about inputting your cache coordinates on http://www.maps.live.com/ to see a cache in the Bird's Eye View now?
  14. I took this one step further, I also have "hidden information" on a puzzle cache. Fa Zhou
  15. Guadalupe Peak is my all fime favorite cache and it is a virtual.
  16. What pranks have you pulled on fellow cachers. Here is one of mine on a night cache a while back. Terminal of the Insane, check out the Oct. 23, 2005 logs.
  17. My cache, Stacked, was hidden on 8.27.2006 and has yet to be found. It is even in the middle of the DFW Metroplex.
  18. Just send geoware an email, they probably are in a different queue awaiting your adoption. I've just posted 5 EarthCaches; World's Largest Geode, The Second-Largest Canyon in the United States, An Alvar in Ohio?, Striations and Scratches and Gouges, Oh My!, and The Enchanted Rock and they sort of disappeared in the process.
  19. Okay, I thought this was a classic example of when to use the SBA feature, given that I had asked the owner to provide additional information and they failed to do so. If a note would have been posted that they had checked with the school district and geocachers are permitted onto the property then maybe I would not have SBAed it. Then again it is on SCHOOL PROPERTY and would it then fall into the "Caches near or under public structures deemed potential or possible targets for terrorist attacks. These include but are not limited to highway bridges, dams, government buildings, elementary and secondary schools, and airports."? Then again what if you are on the property and are stopped by the local police for trespassing. Is a print out of the cache page going to prevent you from getting a citation? Is the officer even going to consider calling the school to verify permission? If they do, what if they cannot get a hold of anyone of authority at the school? Given all potential outcomes, would it be best to SBA?
  20. **First if the cache has permission so do the seekers regardless of the signs. There was no indication on the cache page(s) that this was the case even after posting a note and asking if this was a possibility. **Second if the sign doesn't belong there and the cache does, all is well. The signs are obviously placed to keep people from trespassing. **Third even if the sign is legit there may be a way in that isn't trespassing. They, the caches, were basically in the center of the parcel and the signs were on the frontage of those parcels. On the other case, the sign was on the only entrance into the neighbourhood give the cache page and terrain rating.
  21. In the past few months I have found two caches (Timberview and I Wanna Go Home!) that are in areas that are posted as 'No Trespassing'. Today I found the third. On the prior two caches I posted notes as well as pictures, but the owners continued with the caches. When I found the third (Fork it all! ) today I posted a SBA to that cache as well as the prior two. First the cache should not have been placed there. Second, after the owner was notified that the cache was inappropriately placed it should have been archived. Last, I hate being the GeoPolice but I thought this should not be happening. Why do you think this is happening? That is why do people place cache beyond NT signs? Then, why are they kept active after notification? What are you thoughts? Just curious, BiT.
  22. Heck, I have a TB that the current holders have created a profile for Profile for User: light brown monkey. I don't mind, in fact I think it is cool. They have taken a boat load of pics with him plus two other TBs of ours.

  24. You can build and submit a cache page with all the info you need on it. Then there is a box that says "Yes, this cache is currently active (Reviewers will not see this listing unless box is checked) ", be sure to uncheck it. Also be sure to put a different hiders name in the Who placed the cache? field. Volia, you have a cache page. You'll have to cut and past out the read text that states Cache Issues:This cache has not been reviewed yet. Once it is published, it will be listed on the site. Check the logs to see if the reviewers have left a note for this listing. The reviewers will not see this listing until you activate it. This cache is temporarily unavailable. Read the logs below to read the status for this cache. Do your thing, then afterwards submit a real cache there.
