Thanks for the replies! What I'm really after when right clicking on custom urls is this for example:
http://stats.guk2.com/caches/search_view.p...&order=distance
I tried what you suggested but as you mentioned,it's the same page as geocaching.com,only older.
Thanks again,

Maybe this is an easy one and something I've overlooked, but what needs to be entered in options\html\custom urls in GSAK to enable a custom url to point to a cache in geocachinguk?

After going geocaching with various reams of paper containing cache notes, spoilers etc,I've decided to get a pda (or similar) to go with my MagPlat.
Does anyone have any recomendations for which unit to get? I don't want to spend more than £250 if possible, but I would like to be able to run Memory Map.There seems to be so many different ones out there!

started of with Garmin GPS12 then changed sides to Magellan Platinum-really impressed with it!

I was recently asked to adopt a cache that was placed near me by another cacher whilst on holiday from abroad. The only thing that I was asked to do was visit it and leave a logbook and a standard Geocaching info sheet in the cache.I did this at the weekend and have emailed the person who left the cache originally and he has acknowledged this.
Is this the correct way to adopt a cache? Does the fact that I've agreed to adopt it mean that I have to reapply to list a new cache (thus making it mine) or does the original placer retain ownership?
The cache is till waiting to be approved by admin.
Thanks for any help

I went out to find a cache that I thought would be really easy, but ended up going home after finding nothing....I took my wife along the next time to see if she could find it, and I found it straight away!
My problem was that I spent too long looking at the ground and not in all directions. The cache was hidden in a really good spot that I would never have thought of searching, but hey, thats the point!
Good luck in your future caches.........................

I've just finished looking at Buxleys Maps and a particular part of the world caught my eye with it's lack of caches.Where could this be?-The Falkland Islands....
Given that geocaching is really growing into a pastime for all,I wonder if any members of HM Forces participate? If they do I wonder if any of them are going to the Falkland Islands and could maybe place a cache there? When I was down there 8 years ago, there were loads of places that would have been suitable for caches (if i had discovered geocaching then that is!).
A cache in the Falklands would surely be one of the hardest to log I reckon....

Thanks for all of your suggestions.I've managed to find a solution using specific searches using PQ.
All I've got to do now is start searching !

I wonder if anyone can help? I'm compiling a list of all the Geocaches in the U.K that I haven't found and was wondering if there is anyway of mass downloading all the cache details in .gpx format(Watcher). I know that it's possible to go to GeocacheUK and do a search for all the caches that I haven't found then download them, but this is only in .loc format.
Does anyone of a way to do this please?

Whilst living in Italy about 4 years ago,a bloke who I was working with bought a Garmin GPS 12.After seeing how it worked and what it could do,it wasn't long before I bought one too.
I mainly used it to work out my ETA at the various places that I had to travel to out there. It was pretty usefull! When I arrived back in the UK,the need for me to use a GPS so much decreased.I'd use it on walks with my wife to find out the usual info.Whilst looking on the net for a decent software package to manage my waypoints,I stumbled upon Geocaching.com.....The rest is history!
The funny is that before I discovered the joys of caching,I hated walking just for the sake of it.Now I'm out every weekend except with a MagPlat instead of a Garmin

Hi
I am looking for somebody near Mount Dora Florida to help me log the Sisters Cache (GC4226). I live near to Forres in Scotland and I have a photo of My Gps in front of the Forres sign. I just need somebody to do the same at your end.
Thanks for any help!

Well I've been a member of Geocaching.com since 2002 and until now couldn't see the point of becoming a premium member. Call it apprieciation for the guys and gals that run the site, but hey-I've bitten the bullet and upgraded! The extra features did sway me a bit to be true, but is £1.60 a month really that much?

Thanks for that! Although it would be nice if you could see the location of the TB's as on the map on geocacheUK.

any travelbugs...

I've been using the geocacheUK site for a while to locate caches nearest to me,especially the interactive map.Does anyone know if there is a similar interactive map that shows travel bugs near a location?
Thanks for any help

Is there a map that shows all travelbugs in a certain area? I'd like to be able to see on a map if there are any bugs in caches i'm planning to visit.

I've recently purchased the complete set of Memory Map 1:50000 for the U.K and have all geocaches in Britain plotted on it.An excellent bit of software and well worth the cost.I'd be happy to email the overlays of these geocaches to anybody who wants them.Does anyone use the 1:25000 version of MM?
