  1. There are two caches in my area by the same hider. I can't find one after three attempts. The owner hasn't responded to email after a month. The other cache I finally found, but then the owner couldn't find it the next day and archived it. I emailed and offered to either remove the cache or adopt it/fix it up. Again, no response. Do I give up? Report the problem? Publicly lambast the owner?
  2. What a cool idea! I've got five tags that I've been wondering what to do with. This takes care of one of them!
  3. Anybody have any suggestions on where to have a personal geocoin produced? I was thinking of a plastic pokerchip sort of thing. I've already made up a bunch out of craft dough, but I'd like something classier, yet still inexpensive.
  4. My husband and I frequently cache together. When we find a TB, one of us logs the find, then the other one 'grabs' it, so we both get credit for it. Is this kosher?
  5. I live in Waverly, about 70 miles south of Columbus off route 23. I wish I could go to the geobash, but I'm stuck here at work with the crazies. I work on a psych unit at the Chillicothe VA. I am planning on going with my husband to the SWOGO Pigs CAN Fly event next weekend! Oh, anybody (Bjorn?) got a list of caches along 23 from Cols to Ports? How 'bout 32 east/west? Anybody got a southern Ohio cache that needs adopted? I figure that might be a way to get started taking care of a cache of our own. Hiding will be next. There's only ONE in all of Pike county! 6. I'm curious about this, too. I would love to start collecting coins and such, but are they put in the cache for the cache owner or are they trade items that can be kept? I spent last night making our own 'coins' out of modeling compound. I would not mind if someone wanted to keep one for their collection, but wouldn't want to keep one of someone else's that was not intended for me.
  7. Many thanks to all of you, veterans and active duty. I am a psychiatric nurse at a VA hospital. "The price of freedom is visible here".
  8. At our house we have at least four species of animal besides us at any given moment. When I was picking an email address, we had 8 horses, 9 dogs, 8 cats, and 2 rabbits. My name is Maggie and I live in a zoo. We've since lost the rabbits (they do get old and die) but have gained a betta fish and a plecostemus. My husband is Wafflesdad. Waffles is our Belgian filly. Please tell me you get the joke! Our niece has gone caching with us, so she used Wafflescousin. Anybody need a dog? We have several that need homes. Maggieszoo in Ohio
  9. I picked up a TB last weekend that is trying to get to Denver in time for the opening Broncos game. Well, actually it got logged as my husband's find, but anyway......we are leaving for Vegas on Monday and will get it that much closer to it's goal. We figure it has a better shot at getting to Denver from Vegas than from podunk Ohio. So whoever sent Patrick Star on his way, not to worry. He's having a blast helping us pack. Now can anyone tell me how to get a TB out of your dainty things drawer?
  10. Hmmm.......so I looked silly laying on my belly alongside the road at a road construction site taking pics of Daveen Jeep TB? I thought it looked pretty cool with the construction worker guy I found in a cache last weekend (kinda like a green army man, but yellow and holding a shovel).
  11. You can add WJTB's, individually, to your watchlist. Then you will get email notices when they move. You have to scroll through listings of caches to see where they are first, though, then click on the name of the cache, then the name of the Jeep, then click on "watch this travel bug". I found one yesterday and felt guilty for keeping it too long, so I snuck out of work for a few minutes to drop it in an easy cache near my job!
