  1. There is a light house at south west rocks NSW, but I am not sure if there is a cache near it.
  2. * It was mentioned on the NCGG boards that Griffo was hiding the first Chirp cache for the northern rivers area perhaps an article on this new type of cache being used within Australia? * There are groups like HAVOC and Geocaching NSW and NCGG now that perhaps you could advertise...sorry I am not sure if there are other groups but there very well could be. * Geocaching being allowed in NSW national parks perhaps an interview with those involved in making the progress * CITO weekend and australian events. * The second mega event for australia and organizers of the event. Any way just suggestions hope they help.

  8. I logged a travel bug today that I found in a cache and picked up and brought home to place into another cache later....however I logged the find via iphone while on site and I think I did so incorrectly - http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?guid=7d03a2f0-2bf8-49de-9436-066901f3f70f Could one of the powers that be please take a look at the TeamCassie log for the eight ball travel bug logged last at Walk the project cache And let me know if I did it right or wrong and change it if need be.
  9. We are still looking for helpers to join the core team of organizers...so if you are interested and live on the north coast please reply to this thread or send me an email.
  10. A bigger North Coast Group is being started...only in the early stages but North Coast Geocaching Group can be found here on facebook and an official site will be up soon (sourcing a good free host).
  11. some very cute ideas, we are yet to come up with a signature item but these are very inspiring.
  12. Some very creative ideas, I love the laminated cards and the folding cube idea as well as the poker chips and things all very cool. We still have to work out a signature item, so far we just leave toys, stickers and thats about it.
  13. Thanks for the help it seems to be all better now.
  14. Hi I have looked and could not see a place to put this or to get the answer so hopefully this is ok. We recently changed our username from CPM2440 to TeamCassie, this is reflected on the site but not on the forums. Is there something I can do to change the forums too? I have also changed our avatar on the site and it works BUT the forum avatar has not changed....I know these are little things but they are bugging me because I don't know how to fix it.
  15. Hi guy, a North Coast group is in the process of being set up for event and get togethers. I won't double post all the information but if you are interested it can be found http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=15619 feedback and input is so welcomed.
  16. I have no clue if it is true or not but dadgum if it is that is impressive. I don't think we have any highways marked this way in Australia yet but even if we did I doubt I could keep up with that stamina.
  17. coolest thing I have ever seen I just had to say, that is awesome.
  18. This sounds very cool, I recently found an American themed cache near us (in Australia) and enjoyed getting the unusual swag.
  19. thanks for the encouragement guys, very kind of you. I also have a little one who is only 4 and hubby as well so we would need like a super buoyant one or more then one I guess.
  20. When you can't drive any where in the car without thinking of geo caching or thinking about places to hide a geo cache.
  21. for us so far it was a big fishing hook and some cigarette papers....although after reading some of your finds I am scared to think what could be out there waiting for us now.
  22. That is so cool....I have always wanted to do kayaking but... don't laugh... I am a large woman and always think I will just sink one so have not yet bothered. But it does look like fun and would be a perfect thing to add to 4x4ing and Caching.
  23. It really depends on the location, having a 4 year old sometimes helps as I just let her out of the car to have a play if its a play ground or a grassed area. If there is an obscene amount of people I come back later. If there is just one person and I know there is no way we are going to go unnoticed as we rummage through bushes, I actually take the time to explain to them what we are doing....I have then had strangers help find the cache which was a bit of fun and then ask me for the website address with keen interest.
