  1. I just noticed this new feature and I see it totally different. I see it as an opportunity to give a gift to someone that has helped me, or hidden some really cool caches, or just to be philanthropic. Much the same as an Amazon wish list or a PayPal donate button on a website.
  2. There are many arial caches out there, but don't be disappointed if this guideline isn't always followed. I like the concept though. I would do my best to move it if I came across it.
  3. Too bad it got closed, that was about the most humorous tirade I've come across in quite a while.
  4. Old medicine bottles with the labels removed are GREAT containers to store lures in, I would suggest leaving some empties for folks to leave trades in as well.
  5. EarthCaches are a special case. With any other cache type the duty of policing logs is solely on the hider. But ECs MUST meet certain criteria to be posted and logs have to be policed or the EarthCache Org can have them archived. So only knowing only what has been posted here I can understand why the hider may have some qualms with the way these were logged. I do hope you both can reach a mutual understanding that gives you your finds and the OP their met requirements.
  6. What's with all the grave-digs this week?
  7. It will only be published if you only allow trade of store bought CDs. I've seen a number of these and those are the rules, otherwise great idea.
  8. They make .22 pistols too, oh and grave dig
  9. Related to LOST? I have seen octagonal cookie tins before.
  10. You made my day Keystone, I've been looking for it forever and just kept overlooking it. To add to the OP, I would love the option of visually being able to select and delete waypoints out of my query from the map.
  11. Micro or Regular? Both Traditional or Multi? Traditional Mystery or Earth? Earth In a group or alone? Group Hiding or Finding? Finding Virtual or Webcam? Webcam Letterbox or Wherigo? Letterbox Favorite GPS? ETrex Social(event) or not? Social FTF'er or not? FTF'er Podcast listener or not? No Out of state or In state? Both "Extreme/Hardcore" or Layed back? Both Urban / Rural? Both
  12. 9Key I'd list your cache as a Multi with a Difficulty of 5 (if the tool is not common). As long as the coords to stage two are at stage 1 I would not consider that a puzzle. I have a maths Multi, you have to read some signs to determine the coords for stage 2 and 3 but it is simple math and therefore I listed it as a multi instead of puzzle. Hope this helps.
  13. I got my 250 Nuvi last week, works great, wife loves it. Bought a soda and gum with the card then cancelled it.
  14. Yay, got mine while out of town last week. I was beginning to worry. Looking forward to setting it free.
  15. Oh I love my Legend HC (except for the blasted rubber grip that came unglued). I use an iPod Classic 160GB (but an 80 would work great too) I just use a macro in GSAK that shifts cache pages to the Notes section. IT works for older iPods as well but it goes to the address book as there is no Notes section so it holds slightly less information. Just another option depending on what you are looking to spend.
  16. But all sodas are Coke. I haven't heard anything about using Zunes, there are loads of apps for iPods of all models.
  17. The problem with that is that not everyone uses rechargable batteries (they should...) so if you have regular alkalines in it there could be problems, the solution would be an internal battery pack but no Garmins I have seen so far have this feature. Too bad too.
  18. I use the power cord for my Razor and it works fine. Check the voltage/amperage rating on the chargers to be sure they are the same, otherwise it is just a microUSB power cord so any of those should work.
  19. Because .pngs are often very large files would be my guess.
  20. I'm not sure - I installed it about a year ago. My iPod is quite old too. I'm not sure of the generation, but it's only got a mono screen. Ah that's the difference old iPods don't have Notes. I have a 160GB Classic with color Hmmm my battery easily lasts over a three day weekend.
  21. I'm jealous, and miss my aspens in Colorado. Down here in Louisiana we don't have fall, we have summer and the brown season. Looking pretty brown right now...
  22. It comes and goes, keep an eye on it it will probably be back once they get more GPSs
