  1. Looks interesting. Keep me in the loop!
  2. What fun! Can't wait for mine to arrive "here" and for the one that I sent last week to arrive "there"!
  3. 1. Participating Date: October 4, 2013 2. Received Name Date: November 14, 2013 3. Mission Complete Date: November 18, 2013 4. Mission Received Date Mailed it off!
  4. Finally found a postcard at a Hallmark store. I had checked multiple drug stores, dollar stores, even Target doesn't carry them! Now I just have to get everything together. So, for those of you having trouble finding a postcard, try Hallmark.
  5. Been to five stores and still cannot find a postcard. Do people not send them any more?
  6. Just got my mission! I wonder what my person's actual geocaching name is?! 1. Participating Date October 4, 2013 2. Received Name Date November 14, 2013 3. Mission Complete Date 4. Mission Received Date
  7. I've just submitted my first event for review for the ISS Travel Bug celebration. It is planned to be held at "Planet" bowl (for obvious reasons). I hope people mingle and bowl a game or two. Perhaps I'll throw in a travel bug to the cacher who has the highest score. Actually, I just hope people sign up and show up.
  8. 1. Participating Date October 4 2. Received Name Date 3. Mission Complete Date 4. Mission Received Date Just waiting for more!
  9. I never met him, but you speak so eloquently of him that I wish I had. My condolences to his family and to you, who has obviously lost a good friend.
  10. Sometimes O can actually be a 0 (zero, not the letter), a B could be an 8, an S could be a 5. And there could be more letter/numbers that I can't think of at the moment. Try switching what you may think is a letter for a number (and vice versa).
  11. There is one in Moncton, New Brunswick that has earned 21 favourites. The coords take you to the library entrance and the title of the cache brings you to the geocaching (or perhaps map books) section in the non-fiction area of the shelves. The book that matches the call number (which is the name of the cache) is the log book. No room for swag. The CO got permission from the library staff to place the hide. It has been there for over seven years.
  12. Does the Blackberry cell phone that I found today count? I knew it was a cacher's when the screen read "I'm a geocaching junkie". However, I actually didn't find the cache and was able to get the phone back to the owner.
  13. Why not ask the cacher who is holding the tag to attach it to something else and send it on its merry way? I've done that for a few owners. The TB chains are known to break and get separated from the hitch hiker all the time.
  14. Cacher found a tb in a different cache from what it was listed as. You need to "Select type of log" and click on "Grab it from somewhere else". In the log, say where you grabbed it from. After that, "visit" the TB to the cache where you found it. That's all. Now the TB is in your possession. I'll try to write this in french. C'est necessaire de choisir "Select type of log" et click "Grab it from somewhere else." Dans le log, dit ou tu a trouve la TB. Apres, "visit" le TB dans la cache ou tu a trouve le TB. C'est tout! Maintenant, the TB est avec tu!
  15. Sign me up! I'm in Toronto and near your caches!
  16. Oh my goodness! I wish I could read the logs! Congratulations to all the cache owners and especially the reviewers.
  17. Are caches (other than virtuals) even allowed in the Grand Canyon?
  18. I've been pretty luck with just the usually thorns, scrapes and scratches. However, after reading about "Chuck", I do try to remember to leave a note of where I am headed. This cache was renamed "Chuck's Last First" as Chuck was the first to find the cache but he died on his way back to the car. My link I've never tried to add a link to these comments before, so I hope that worked. Otherwise, you could search GC3PXG1. Stay safe out there people!
  19. Just curious, but I'm wondering what flag is flown for athletes from Scotland, Wales, England during the Olympics? Or are they one big happy team? BTW, I think it would be a great idea to have them listed as separate countries on Geocaching.com.
  20. OMG! I went to Vegas and Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon last week. Just finished loading up my photos and 90% of them are of trackables. I think I have a problem.
  21. I just got back from Vegas and enjoyed a couple caches in particular. One was "A Special Memory" which is mentioned in someone's earlier reply (GCQ596) and the second one is a new cache just off the Vegas Strip. It was "The Mansion" (GC47XGR). It is not a difficult find; actually it is a lamp post cache, but the view is great! Big enough to hold a couple small TBs too and it seems to get lots of traffic to get those TBs moving quickly.
