  1. Thank you so much! I have to say that all the people we met in both Iceland and Denmark were very nice and you are confirming that DANES ARE THE BEST! Geoducky
  2. Hello, I have just arrived home from a lovely visit to Iceland and Denmark. I promised my two newphews that I would drop off their Travel Bugs in Europe, but my son (2 years old) dropped my GPSr and I was unable to locate any caches without it. I left the two little Travel Bugs posted to the bulletin board at the Hotel Loeven at Vesterbrogade 30 Copenhagen. Can someone pick them up and move them into a cache? I know it is a big favor and I offer your choice of a new Travel Bug Tag or a Washington State geocoin in return for this favor. Just pick up the bugs and drop them off and send me your address. Please! Please! geoducky from Washington State, USA.
  3. I need a much easier Bug 'rescued' I've been tracking Pink-A-Boo http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...7e-789dc67d4ea5 and trying to get him to Seattle before I leave for Iceland on August 18th. Last seen in "Earthquake" http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...e2-fffc67664248 in the Anchorage area. Anyone headed for Seattle soon? Need a bug taken to Iceland? geoducky
  4. I will be in Iceland in July. I don't know the area, but will be driving to see many sights. Has anyone made a bookmark list of the most interesting caches in Iceland yet? I will have time for maybe 4-5 caches outside of Reykjavik but I will be travelling with a 6 year old and a 2 year old, so nothing with a terrain rating of 4 stars, please. Also, if there are any travel bugs that would like to head back to the States with me I would love to do a TB exchange or pick some up from caches. Geoducky
  5. Just a quick note to say "it was fun!" My sister got me all signed-up to spend the day with her, of course she bailed something about a "new job" ,yeah sure! But I had fun afterall and now I have some serious swag from the conference, a shirt, hat and a new TB to release. Geoducky
  6. I'll can help by either watching Little Lost One or by actually helping myself. I can be available Th or Friday for 4 hours between 9-3. Here's my 2 cents. You really don't want to have that many people doing the obvious GPS dance in broad daylight in downtown Seattle, and then routing through the Ivy without any notion of being disceet. Two suggestions: 1) Do the multicache approach and have them find clues that they can turn in for the cards; or better yet 2) maybe have them get rubbings from a plaque or tiles (I know that sounds a lot like letterboxing) with baseball tie-ins. (Like the word Home, Base, Slide etc.) Either way you could have some typical caches containers in the display or photos of caches insitu for reference. It just seems like you wouldn't want a bunch of first time cachers exposing existing caches in very public places. geoducky
  7. I haven't been in the forums lately - too busy having children I quess. I find it absolutly hysterical that the World's Largest Edible Clam looks like, well you know...... The Wolrd's Largest, eh um..... It never ceases to make me giggle.
