  1. I wish we did - sorry, I don't have a pic at this point. We've tried, but as the coin is black, the pics have all turned out bad (or maybe it's just that its Mr. CB at camera control, not sure).

  6. Holy Cow!!!! What a brain fart. I am sorry for this oversight. I have contacted the coin maker and will let everyone know their activation codes as soon as I can.
  7. Thanks for the interest in the Cache Buzzards coin! We've had a lot of trade requests and at this point, most of our coins set aside for trade are gone. We're going to hang on to the last few for a while. More info on the coin: it's made of satin nickel, its 1.5 inches in size. Again, thanks for your interest!
  8. Here it is! The Cache Buzzards Limited Edition personal geocoin! This is the first in our series this year. The thin red lines in the pic of the back will not be in the coin, they were erroneously left in from the proof. The Cache Buzzards logo is Glow in the Dark! The coin is trackable on geocaching.com and will have it's own unique icon. Cost is $8.50 plus $2.00 S&H. This is a pre-order sale and will be shipped out as soon as coin arrives. Pay Pal orders can be placed here. Please email with any questions.
  9. Yesterday at the ER, the doc told me that even though my exposure was seemingly minimal (as I never saw it, had on long sleeves and long pants and boots) that because I had built up so many antibodies to it in the recent past, that is why I reacted the way I did. This pic doesn't show it, but when I went to the ER my right eye was completely swollen shut and my left eye barely open. I'm a nurse, have a basic foundation of medicine. Don't know much about ER medicine but get basic physiology. Anyways, my point being (and confirmed by the doc) that if you build up enough antibodies to anything at all - it can have deadly consequences. Just like latex - you can touch a severaly latex perosn with a latex glove - anyphylaxis sets in almost immediately. It doesn't have to be a systemic exposure to anything to cause anyphylaxis. Well, all that is beside the point and I seriously didn't mean to argure. I'm ok (can breathe and all). I'll just be dang sure not to get even near the stuff again for a long, long time! Think I'll move out west were it's not as common!
  10. Ok, I officially HATE Poison Ivy! I made yet another trip to the ER today - facial swelling galore! I've tried Tecnu, Ivy Block, cold showers, everything! What am I going to do????? Here is a pic of me after my most recent IV "Anaphylactic Cocktail" (ugly as it is):
  11. I am looking at my list of travel bugs that I own when I realize I have no idea what the icons mean. Is there someplace that tells me what the icons are supposed to mean (the cube, the face, the green box, etc...)?
  12. Ok, I know this sounds basic, but it truly is a question of mine. I drive around all the time and see fantastic vast areas of hills, peaks, creeks, and such just screaming for a cache or three to be placed on them. I didn't grow up around where I live so I have no idea if old Mr. Miller sold "that hill" to the county is '84. Many places have 4 wheeler paths up and down but no houses close to even ask. So here is the brunt of the question - is there a map in the local library which would show me which areas (in great detail) are state, county, DNR, etc...? Do tax maps show that kind of thing? Do I assume that if there are well defined 4 wheeler trails that caching is ok? I need some gool old fashioned guidance. Thanks! *edit for spelling*
  13. Hubby and kids are all deathly allergic to bees, wasps and such. We carry an Epi Pen with us at all times because of the life or death seriousness of their allergies. The point is - we'd avoid that cache at all costs. It reminds me of a cache we recently searched for that was intentionally hidden in poison ivy- who would do that and why? Isn't the point NOT to endanger each other? edit for spelling
  14. hmmmm....now i don't know the answer to that. I just click the export button and go. I'll check - I am just not great with computers and knowing what is what. I'll check. Good thought - thanks!
  15. My picture is MISSING!!!! Where is it???
  16. I tried leaving the old info on the card - did no good. Still lost the info on the first database with each download - no matter which one I did first. Thanks for the thought tho.
  17. We use a Zire72 for our Paperless Caching and LOVE it! But we use GSAK and Cachemate. Still ironing out the bugs, but oerall really enjoy caching with these tools. PS: What a very, very sweet wife!
  18. Ok, on Gsak I have several different dadtabases (one local, one with all easy terrains, etc...). I get my pocket queries and load them without a problem. Then...I load them into my Palm without a problem. And, in Cachemate they are listed correctly in seperate databases without a problem. But....I only get the descritions in one database. For example...If I download the "Just 1s" database into my palm (with a blank memory card, because I always clear the old lists) and HotSync...all is great. I get the descriptions, hints, past logs, etc... Then, I download the "local" into my Paln, and review it...all is well, scripts, logs, etc... But, when I switch back to the other database...the names are all still there but the descritions and everything else is gone!!! This happens every single time, no matter which one I load first. It seems that I only get the info on the last one I download, no matter which one it is. I wondered if maybe my memory card was too full and it was just defaulting but I have used less than 1% of it when all my databases are on there. Is any of this making sense? Anyone out there who can help? It kind of defeats the purpose of having different databases if I can't see the info. Thank ahead of time! edit for spelling
  19. Check out the Lock N Locks here - Amazon Lock N Locks There are a few large ones and the whole set is fairly well priced.
  20. We love this program! It lets us get a visual to the approx location of our caches before we leave the house. We bought the plus and love the GPS feature! We recommend this program highly!
  21. Our team is Mom (me), Dad 3 year old twins and a two year old. We stick with the ones and twos on terrain when they're around. They love it! We definately bring the little kid porta potty though! This was teken yesterday in KY. The 2 year old was using the potty behind the photographer (as usual)!
  22. Ok - I was having the same exact problem, see the topic called Talk to me like I'm 4 . From this I got enormous help. But - what helped the most was Gmail, Once I got Gmail - all my problems were solved. Seriously - all the issues were easy fixes with gmail - it reads gmail and downloads it sooooo easy. Here's the problem: not just anyone can get Gmail. A member sent me an invite after someone else suggested I use it. Honestly - from that very day I had a new respect for the Cachers in these forums. Sooooo....now, someone has to invite you to use Gmail (I don't have a clue who or how) but I'm sure someone reading will ablige I don't know how, but once the gmail was set up - loading to my PDA was a snap. All of my GSAK probs were fixed.
  23. If I remember correctly - mine was within an hour. I received a confirmation email, did what it said and so on. But I payed with Paypal. Has your payment been deducted from whatever account you used?
