all I have is my cell phone. If some needs to call me they will be able to all the time. I also have needed it to phone a friend when I was stuck looking for a cache and my patience was in short supply.

If they all found it, and the log says that they found it as a team...even if one one entry then I don't see why they couldn't log it individually on line...I go caching with my girlfriend and make only one entry in the log book something along the lines of "out caching with ironwoman and geopuppies. TNLNSL" but we both have our own accounts

So I went to Plano to see family and hit a few caches near the hotel and I think I got poison ivy. I thought it would go away on its own but it hasn't...and it itches. Will hydracordazone(sp?) make it go away?

what area of the park is reserved? like near what camp site numbers?

ICE stands for In Case of Emergency... that is to long to put in the phone so you use the abbreviation for the name...ICE and then add the phone nume of the person you would want called if you were injured. A lot of times if you are incapacitated emergency workers will try to contact someone to let them know you were hurt. So instead of having "mom + phone number" it would be ICE + phone number"

OMG! i think I finally figured it out..maybe. The "within" option marked it "none selected" and ran it again and viola, I get the right caches!

I'm new to the premium membership thing and messing with PQ's. I made one for my home coords and got the results like they should be. but now I'm puting in coords for a place in dallas I will be staying at and everytime I run the PQ it sends me caches for WAY south TX. but if I plug in the SAME coords under hide/seek a cache it gives me caches in the dallas area(which are the right ones BTW) what is going on with the PQ's??

how long does it take to show that I am a premium member in the forums? I purchased the membership early this morning and on GC.com it shows that I am but in the forums I'm not yet.

I started out with a magellan Explorist. within a few weeks I was tired of having to manually input all the coords but it was a GREAT starter for me....it was so much so that I sold it to my mother and got her hooked with it. After I sold it to her I bought a Garmin extrex legend. I have loved it. I added waypoints for all my families houses out of town so whe I go there I can know about how far away i am and about how long its gonna take me to get there give my current speed. I can connect it to the computer and with the mapsource software I even have small streets to navigate better. It even has little waypoint icons for geocaching(geocache[a little treasure chest], and geocache found[an open treasure chest])My only quirk is that the reception is the greatest under trees but it still gets me where I need to go. It was stolen out of my truck last week so now I have to save up for another one but I can guarantee you I will purchase another like it. I might get the legendC just cause its in color but probably not.

I am working towards an associates degree in criminal justice and when I get out of the military I will join the local police department. Me and the girlfriend are volunteer firefighters in a neighboring town.

one of our local cachers has a GPS that has the format 00.00.00 so they add a 0 to the end to make it fit the format. thankfully we here are a bunch of nice guys and showed them places to convert the coords to the proper format for the cache pages....hopefully this will help with some of the probs.

I have had a few FTF's but here there isn't a huge fight for them. I simple cache can go 2-3 days before someone goes out to find it.

i have three of these file boxes not big enough what about the medical instrument box? it has bigger dimensions than the file box.

so why make it premium only? that doesn't seem like much of a perk to me. lol
