  1. Dear geocachers, Last week the subscription of the Geocaching Multi Event 2008 has been opened! This annual event takes place in Naarden (the center of the Netherlands, Europe) at Saturday, April 5th 2008. Previous years we welcomed several foreign teams to our event, and this year we hope to welcome some of you as well. The subscription form and more information can be found at our website. Within 48 hours we received over 500 subscriptions. Would you like to participate, we advise you to subscribe quickly! Hopefully we will meet you at the GME2008! Scouting group Erica
  2. A real magnetic compass built in in your GPS (as in the Garin Extrex Vista) is not necessary but it is a very handy part of it. I'm glad I bought WITH the compass.
  3. Wouldn't be a too big problem if you ask the finders of your cache to take care of it by cleaning it, getting a new log, et cetera. Not placing a cache is something I don't like. You know a nice place for a nice cache, so let people enjoy the cache and its surroundings.

  5. Hi, I am thinking about creating a very difficult multi-cache. You will have to solve many puzzles, puzzles like you find in Myst and other games like that. Does anybody have any idea where I can find an internet source which contains examples of the sort of puzzles I need?
  6. Hi, I want to make a top cacher list for my country. As far as I know there is no option to get such a list generated by geocaching.com or so. I thought about asking everybody in my country who is above 25 caches to send me an E-mail with the URL to their profile. This way I could check once a month those URL's, write down the number of caches found, sort the list, done. But I keep thinking there must be an easier way. I could write a small program to make the HTML-page for me, but then it would be necessary to query the database to get the number of caches of one person (I hope my point is still clear to you). In a simple way: how can I produce a Top Cacher List as easy and up to date as possible. Thanks in advance, Stephan
