  1. Borrowed from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. I shot an arrow into the air, It fell to earth, I knew not where; For, so swiftly it flew, the sight Could not follow it in its flight. I breathed a song into the air, It fell to earth, I knew not where; For who has sight so keen and strong, That it can follow the flight of song? Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke; And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend. I am in again! Email sent.
  2. Not to burst a bubble here but as of Jan 16 2006 at least 2 people found it unaided... It was a very fun hunt though!!
  3. Hear hear! Here is one of the things I agree with! I have a hard time understanding why some people choose to fabricate things to post and then expect others to believe them... Ex Cacher has posted that they only like hunting more difficult terrain caches and only hide them too... Yet the stats prove otherwise. Cacher in question A. 73 of 960 3 or higher terrain .076 Finds 28 of 90 hides over 3 terrain... .311 Hides the hides column surprise surprise has more than a couple 1/1 micros! Hardly a majority This is just one of the more vocal persons too... DISCLAIMER Names were removed to preclude construing a "personal attack" These stats are accurate, but just one person selected at "Random" to test a theory.
  4. Received teh coins in the post today, and I too was confused about the extra coin! I started an Email, but then looked here and got the answer.... These came out pretty nice!! Well worth the wait. Thanks for sticking with it! I haven't decided on a favorite yet. It may take me a while. BTW Nice touch with the card included!!!!
  5. Would that be "The Loner" ??
  6. Santa made it to my house today! In the box were 2 racer coins and a FTF coin Thanks
  7. I can't say where exactly, but there is a cache just like this in my 100 mile circle... My daughter found the cache and let out a little scream. I had an idea it would be something like this so I just laughed. As far as I know it is still in place, and doing fine.
  8. I managed to hit GZ three different times, only to figure out each time that the spot was for parking. Worse yet when I was there each time it was broad daylight and the cache was a night cache! DOH! Doh! DOH!!! I finally went out at night spent the 10 minutes on the path and found it. I still laugh when I drive by the spot!
  9. Nice looking coin... I ordered 3. Thanks!
  10. I don't have a trading list online, but some that I would love to see or have Moun10bike (any version) Groundspeak Lacky Tiki (any) MAGC Suncatcher (either/both) Geodiamond LandSharks and others I can't think of right now... That said I will be happy with whatever comes this way.
  11. Received my mission, did a bit of research, put the package together and sent it out with the morning post!
  12. Email sent! I don't have a hosted list, but a look at my profile would show what I have already...
  13. I would want 1 of each, since WA is my home state!

I got a very very nice looking coin in the mail today!!! The thing was I knew I had not ordered or paid for this, so why was it here?!?!? Then I remembered this thread, could it be? Yep! Cool! I was thinking I would have to give it back Now I realize this was the FTP prize!!! Thanks!!! I really like this version the best! The dark lines really set it off on the front! It looks a lot like stained glass. Thanks again!!
  15. I got a set of 4 today! This was a very fast correction! Thanks for restoring some hope in the market! One odd thing though someone stated earlier that they had 003 in gold, yet that is exactly what I got today! No big though! These coins look great, the only bad thing now is I wish I could have gotten a silver set too!
  16. I just had the same log as Mustang Joni... a log from and event in Germany. I know my coins that have been logged at events, but that is when I have taken them to the event. The fact that it was only one coin out of over 130 active, makes me wonder if it wasn't a typo... I do know of a "backdoor" to logging the coins and bugs without having the numbers, but this log used the normal method. So that isn't what is happening here. Right now I am leaning towards leaving it there, as a discovered log it doesn't effect the mileage so....
  17. This has gotten to the point where I am about to give up all together! Not only waiting still for these 2 coins, but now I have at least one other set that mysteriously hasn't made it. Yet I have regular shipments coming in all the time from "commercial" sources! I have been getting most of my new coins ( New to me) via person to person trades. I wish I could feel more comfortable about mail trades, but I do get to travel 4 times a year so that will have to do.
  18. I sent an E with my details, but still waiting in MO....
  19. I have done that as well! And well I doubt anyone would call me a rookie at this point. Usually this happens when I pick up a TB and drop it as close to it's goal as I can on a single road trip. Then when I get home I realize I don't have it's number! Doh! At that point I either will ask the owner, or if I see it has been picked up then I ask the current holder, for the number. Sometimes the other person has been really nice and taken care of the move for me. Since I am not really concerned with the stat for the move, this works out just fine. The TB got moved and logged it's miles. One of these days I will remember to write down the TB number and the cache dropped off as soon as it happens. Someday!
  20. Time to fess up!! I had just missed the fairy down south around Springfield, MO... I had visited one of the caches the day before the fairy did! So I figured I would watch and maybe just maybe the fairy would land somewhere closer to me. I was working on some stuff at home, not feeling to good, when I got a mysterious phone call. The caller told me that I should revisit a particularly hard puzzle cache that I just happened to get the FTF on. So after explaining my confusion, the caller finally said " Ever hear of the Geocoin Fairy" Needless to say, I was out the door in about 2 seconds flat! I knew what that meant and I knew that here in the KC area one has to be really fast to be first on the scene! I got to the first cache to check and lo and behold the Coin was there! Whooo Hoooo.... I felt a whole lot better right then. Must have been a little fairy dust left on the coin! I put out a very sought after coin in another cache to repay this one. And to keep it interesting I waited a day or two before fessing up on that one as well. All I will say is that the replacement coin was 1 of 100 made. As Thorny1 has already mentioned this coin will be going with me to events and road trips to share in the magic. The SLAGA Fall picnic was the first of many stops the coin will make. I do know who got the other two from the Kansas drops but I won't out them...
