  1. ummm after Jan 19 for me.. I did a review of my funds and realized the I'd potentially be overspending myself. :/ I still want to be in the project, however, so no worries there.
  2. Personally I use the wonderful image editing software known as Paint Shop Pro... What others have said is true, though. It's just easier in the long run to give the artist the image for the logo. They'll be resizing and redrawing the coin anyway to give it more detail for the mints, so a pixelated tiny logo might not help much.
  3. You could go to images.google.com and search for 'gecko clipart' ... within the first 30 I saw a nice b&w image that would be easiest to use... that way the black would be raised metal amoung a sea of color.
  4. If there's a new group starting (or if people drop out), I'd be interested in joining, though I don't want to be the manager as I wouldn't have enough money to front for everyone. Anyway, I don't have time or ability to upload/link an image at this time, so here's the details: Band name: Snowwolf75 and#the howlers (# equals line break) Song Name: Of wolf#and cache Top BG color: FFA9BA Bot BG color: 8BC1FF
  5. Uploaded avatar for me.... finally, after more than a year of using the site. ;}
  6. TBGABK:: USA Geocoin-LucyandRickie #4 (30333.2mi) TBGP4W:: Moun10Bike Geocoin #230 (27723mi) TB2CAA:: Moun10Bike Geocoin #096 (64905.6mi) {it seems to have become a personal tracker, though)
  7. The only virtual logging I've had on my coins were honest mistakes. With PC-labeled coins, there have been times someone got a digit wrong and got one of my coins. Usually this happens after a big event, when people are logging coins like mad and not paying attention to name/type. I just delete their logs and notify them of their blunder. They're usually apologetic to their mistake and everything's fine.
  8. are they actually different (dies) than v1s?
  9. Interesting... wish I'd known that. Anyway, for those that want to trade, the offer is still open.
  10. I don't usually resurrect old topics, but it seemed better than creating a new one. I wanted to let people know that I still have some coins available FOR TRADE from my personal stash. I don't know the exact numbers right now, because they are at home and I'm not, but I do have both Gold and Black Nickel versions. Personal coins are preferred (trackable or not), but otherwise any unactivated trackable (that I don't already have) will likely be accepted. For those people that wanted to buy Black Nickel coins, I offer my apologies - however I was not the one in charge of the sales of either edition. If you still want a black nickel and have a spare trackable lying around, drop me a line explaining the situation and I'll consider it. I promise to respond to every email or PM, so noone will be left wondering. :}
  11. If you can get yours hands on my coins, could you do scans of them? If not, I still have available coins, if you want to trade.
  12. Two of them in this area, c/o FunnyNose: Icon Ho' Another GeoCoin Reclining Spot Coin Ho' A GeoCoin Reclining Spot
  13. Just put me down for three of the Puget Sound chapter.
  14. Salutations and welcome to the area. :} I do nearly all of my long-distance travel by bus, and some of the shorter stuff by bike or foot. I've been thinking about doing a bus-based cache for a while now.... but I'm far too lazy to get something placed - I've already got two caches on the burner then I need to actually place in the near future. If you have ideas for a bus cache, feel free to send me a PM or email. As far is learning the transit system goes, you can download a PDF system map from their site, but be warned, it's big. Also, you can use Trip Planner to calculate point-to-point trips.
  15. So where should we start make queries or offers for carpools?
  16. I was planning on doing just that as well... but I never got ahold of the single card holders. Once I found how well the foam in the sheet worked, it wasn't necessary. Besides, I'm not sure how well they will fit since I think they are made to the same width so they wouldn't slide into the 9 card sheets very easily. I've been using the baseball sleeve as well as the 9 card sheets with great success. It allows me to take individual cards and show them to people. The only disadvantage is that some of the corners of the sleeves can cut the sheets when reinserted. I even have pictures. I've gotten rather behind on making the foam surrounds for them, though. :/
  17. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=124422 Pictures of the folder that I've made are at the bottom. Basically the foam around the coin is tight enough to not allow slippage inside the card holder. Works out great. More on topic, I got my 2 pair of suncatchers on last Saturday... and gave one away to geofriend. They're definately very light. :}
  18. That's just a tracking site... the one I'm thinking of (and perhaps the original poster) is a selling site.
  19. PM sent Okay... I'm curious too. I used to go there all the time, but forgot the name. -.-
  20. When I log a move of a TB, I use the WAP access on my phone... this way someone that might be coming just after me can pick it up at their leisure.
