  1. Please email me via my GC profile and I will add you to my list.
  2. Important notice: After talking with my seller, a matter of confusion has come to light. The coin currently seling is Polished Gold, even though the image looks like it should be Black nickel. When I designed the coin, I use black as a background for simplicity and because I thought the balck nickel would look better. Along the way I decided that black nickel becoming the LE would be better, as it's not as durable if the coins travel cache-to-cache. Though there are some errors that need fixing (the pawprint is supposed to be black filled, and other things), here's the die art for the polished gold version: Hopefully everyone's been paying attention to the selling page, because it plainly says "Polished Gold" on it.
  3. heh.. that's kinda cool. Definately something I'll start using, when appropriate.
  4. IMHO, a transparent version of the second would be good.
  5. shucks.. I would've liked a black nickel... ah well, ordered a silver instead.
  6. Got mine too. I can even rearrange mine to be mixed up. :} Any word on getting the icons linked to the coins?
  7. That's the way that I read it - the $7.95 covers both the coins because they're in the same order.
  8. Limited edition black nickel coins should be available soon, keep watching this thread. Still hoping to sell more of the gold ones, though, which is currently over 300 in preorders. I've recieved the die art, but some minor errors were made. Once they get fixed I will gladly show you the image.
  9. I'd like in on this contest. I'm in Seattle, WA
  10. For anyone that might be watching this thread still, coins are now on sale: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=130420
  11. Over 140 presold so far... quite a few left to go, though.
  12. and noone in the seattle area had room for another passenger?
  13. 20 pages = 5.7 miles 11 coins (most are interesting ones, not the prolific USA) 35 TBs no jeeps (I made sure to exclude and coins/TBs presumed missing) There are at least two people that fall into that radius that frequently buy, activate, and release custom coins. There's another two further east, but they're well out of that radius.
  14. That's a good question... one I shall research and post about sometime tomorrow. Well, I guess it's technically 'tomorrow'. I found a nice site for campground searching ( http://www.reserveusa.com/ ) and there appears to be a campground near Lockaby that might have spaces open - the site is a bit southeast (about 15 miles) of the original and un-original caches. I'll call their number in the morning to see if sites are indeed reservable (their season supposedly starts on the 5th). Prices seem to be about $16/night (might spend that mcuh on gas getting there and back) and most of what they offer are tent or RV sites.
  15. I have a pocket query so that I can find geocoins in my local area. True, geocoins are grouped with travelbugs (jeeps too), according to the PQ, but I have a wide enough radius and high enough cache count on the PQ that I usually can usually find a gem or two amoung the rough. Getting out there before someone else happens to snag it is the main trick.
  16. Seabeck is correct.. the 'grab' action just takes it from another person that has it, you then need to 'place' it back into the cache. What I've found to work well is to 'retrieve' the coin, writing the note for it, and _then_ log your find for the cache. This way it will be in your inventory to place it back in. It gets a slight bit problematic to lots and coins like this, but it's better than posting multiple "coin drop" notes in the event/cache, in my opinion.
  17. I never actually asked who the minter who.. whomever USAGeocoins uses, I would presume. The only other pawprint I know of is Brawny Bear's, which is bear, not canid. Mine is a slight modification of the icon I've been using for my website for years (look up the details on favicon.ico sometime). One thing about miy icon is that it's transparent in places and can be seen against both a black and white background. Let me see if I can deomstrate. Hmmm.. can't get table bbcode to work. Ah well, here's the image, which hopefully will be noticeable on the forums' background color. I honestly wouldn't know. The ordering/fufillment end of thing is out of my hands... I'll ask the person I've been working with, though, to see if he can pop in and answer. Btw, here's a slightly reduced (for size and width) image to hopefully serve as an enticement.
  18. I should've mentioned in the title that this is a pre-order, so I don't confuse anyone. The referenced page does, though. I've been pondering it and talking it over in a another thread... one of the gents at USAGeocoins contacted me with an option. After alot of emails back and forth, my dream of my personal coin is being realized. :} http://www.usageocoins.com/snowwolf.htm It's got tracking, a custom icon, and a glow-in-the dark moon. The first edition of the coin will be antique gold, hopefully selling at least 350 coins. Once that point is reached, a limited edition black nickel coin (50 to sell) will be made available (which, IMHO, will look better but also much more collectable). The image on the store page seemed to get a little less precise, but the image I sent was very high quality so the coin should look very good too. Even when shrunk down to its actual size and printed out, it turns out rather well. :} For those people that would only be interested in trades, I will have to wait and see how many sell to know whether I will have to pay thru the nose for the spares. My plan is to hold 50 of each type for trade or for my own purposes... but if I don't sell the minimum, I'm not sure how well that will pan out. Feel free to message me and I will add your name to the waiting list. So, I've been rambling for a while... I hope you enjoy the coin and buy, buy, buy!
  19. Anybody coming from the Seattle area and have an extra seat in their transportation for me? I'd also like to have WiFi in the hotel I would be staying in...
  20. Since the anniv. of the original stash approaches, I was thinking about making a trip down that way to log the #1 cache (or at least the plaque commemerating it). Since it occurs during the week, I was actually thinking about doing it the weekend after, being May 6-7. I don't know yet if I'll be going down alone (which I would do via train, as I have no driver's liscense), but the main concern that I have when I get down there is lodging and transportation. I would be fine with crashing on someone's couch for a night and wouldn't be too much of a bother. Also I figure others in the area might not have logged it, so it can be a group run. Anyone interested in helping me toward this goal?
  21. ah... so I wasn't the only one that had to wrestle with the site.. that's good to know at least. Strange that only of the final stages didn't work in IE, but it did in Mozilla. O_o
  22. HHhmmm.. I see a peace sign on mine. Did you abandon the red and blue eagle?
  23. I haven't thought that far ahead. I didn't think that I would be able to get rid of 500 coins, but if it does happen.... Probably a stop sign?? Open to suggestions. Thanks, B1/2 Actually, if you could pull it off, a stop sign with opposing arrows inside it.
