I'm kinda new at geocaching, I've been doing it about three weeks now and absolutely love it. Getting out of the house and exploring new areas I've never been before is something I think more people need to do. As of today, I have 36 finds, which I think is pretty good. Not to say I'm the best geocacher, but I definitely don't think I'm the worst either.
Over the course of the weeks as I've been doing this, I've been learning little tricks and picking things up as I go along, which is great, but I have yet to see a set of standards for difficulty and terrain. I've found 3.5 - 3.5's with relative ease, and over the course of my geocaching experience still have not found a few 1-1's (now I have taken into account the possibility that some of them may have been moved by human's, weather or whatnot. And I know that sometimes finding the micros is harder because, well, they're micro.) but I have yet to see a universal prerequisite that would make something 1 as opposed to 2.
Is there anything that says a 1 must be within these parameters, as opposed to a 2 being specific, because as I've seen it so far, it's all subjective?
Am I wrong, or is there a page/thread I've not seen that gives guidelines for the different categories?
