  1. The samples are in and I think they look really cool! I'm so excited! I like all 3 metals, so I'm ordering some of each. They will all be in soft enamel, since the signatures and manatee, and especially the puppy dog prints really pop out in the soft enamel. I set up an order form to Reserve your coins Here are the details: Quantity minted: 100 - Antique Gold 75 - Antique Copper 75 - Antique Silver 3D front, soft enamel back Trackable with icon (a manatee, I believe) Cost: $9.25 each Shipping to US/Canada: $2.00 first coin, 50 cents each additional Shipping outside US/Canada: $3.25 first coin, 50 cents each additional (will combine shipping for international orders, if requested) Landsharkz will also have some available in their shop. Coins are expected during the second week of December (just in time for Christmas presents)! Invoices will be sent when coins are enroute to me (so I can get a jump on packaging). (In case you're wondering, if you look closely at the second picture, you can see the "trackable at ...." around the edge of the coins!)
  2. Don't mean to put a damper on such a wonderful sounding idea, but, from the Walter Reed Army Medical Center website: "Walter Reed Army Medical Center officials want to remind those individuals who want to show their appreciation through mail to include packages and letters, addressed to “Any Wounded Soldier” that Walter Reed will not be accepting these packages in support of the decision by then Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Transportation Policy in 2001. This decision was made to ensure the safety and well being of patients and staff at medical centers throughout the Department of Defense. In addition, the U.S. Postal Service is no longer accepting “Any Service Member” or “Any Wounded Service Member” letters or packages. Mail to “Any Service Member” that is deposited into a collection box will not be delivered. Instead of sending an “Any Wounded Soldier” letter or package to Walter Reed, please consider making a donation to one of the more than 300 nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping our troops and their families listed on the "America Supports You" website, www.americasupportsyou.mil" The above can be found here. Their main web page is here. Sorry.

Checked the map, and the Dream Cachers over on the west coast of Florida have one, too. Guess I'll go sit out in the pumpkin patch with Linus tonight, too. Here Creepy Crawler Cachers, here Creepy Crawler Cachers, .... . Hey, it worked for Damenace, didn't it? Seriously, congrats to all the finders of this way cool coin! 15. According to some website, it is actually a White Heron Yep, it's white! The Great White Heron is presently considered a white form of the Great Blue Heron. Beautiful birds that grace the waterways of Florida with its presence! Great Blue Herons are found througout Florida (and the rest of the US), while the Great White Heron is found mostly in the southern half of Florida (which is where the Everglades are)!
  16. Hmmm, great blue heron and manatee. The same wildlife symbols I chose for my upcoming Caching Native Florida coin! Being a native Floridian, I'll have to get a couple of these, too! I love the stamp design.
  17. gorgeous yes. beluga in Florida everglades... uh, no. it's a manatee. they really are "cute" ... very docile. These are the creatures that sailors of old thought were mermaids... pretty chubby mermaid if you ask me! "Chubby" Yes but remember, it takes all kinds to make up the world!!! This has got to be one of my favorites sayings. Chubby used to be a sign of wealth, meaning you could afford food to eat. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
  18. That was fun! Thanks for the cointest, tokencollector! Email sent!
