  1. Baer2006 Thank you for embellishing my thoughts, and the need to have direct sight of "ALL" reviews etc.
  2. As the Adventure Lab, credits start to be rolled out, and with the prospect of having many AL's to oversee, sometime soon. Is there a way to consolidate all posted ALs to oversee/ to have a profile of visits to each etc. Simular to Geocache and Waymarking profile stats. I am aware of viewing each AL individually, but would like to see all the results in one place. To be able to see the reviews would be a bonus, enabling sight of good or bad feedback or just in case there is a problem.
  3. Isonzo, Thank you for your suggestion, and link, however, as I read it. That would be for the initial 5 location credits, of which I have had and used. That "we" then get entered into a "random selection" to have any more. I hope all the teething issues, and glitches are ironed out soon so that the AL can go live for all, I only wish we had some idea on when? From help centre:- "We occasionally provide opportunities to receive additional credits. There is no need for users to request additional credits. Credits are generally distributed using a random selection (with geographic distribution). In most cases, all creators who have created a public Adventure are eligible and are automatically entered in the selection process".
  4. I have "Geocached" for many years, however, had become frustrated with so many "green containers within a green hedge"( being green colour blind didn't help), plus other issues. Hence moving over and participating in "Waymarking" of which I enjoy very much. With the introduction and phased role out of "Adventure Lab", which in my view offers me, the best of both, a combination of Geocaching and Waymarking. After successfully posting my first credit Adventure Lab, I needless to say keen to post more Adventure Labs. To offer and share some of many interesting finds, whilst "Waymarking" etc. I appreciate any new games platform, will have some teething issues, some glitches, however. Is anyone able to offer a go live date or when or where, premium members, can request or are able to get additional, more Adventure Credits? so that we can post more Adventure Labs. I hope its not too long.
  5. Thank you so far for your comments, I appreciate your time. When initially posting and then reading these and other posts I feel that I may have looked like a "numbers person" with the hope of people visiting my waymarks, that is not the case it was curiosity. Setting up a new Group I guess like all new things I am dipping my feet in the water... Continue reading the help and go for it
  6. I have returned after some years away, to Waymarking, now retired and finding the time to do and learn about new things. I have found Waymarking a good tool get out and about new areas to learn more. I am located in the South West of England The questions are:- As of June 2019 is there/ will there be sufficient uptake on visits and postings? I am currently posting new Categories within other Groups, but I wonder who or when will there be a visitor? I have posted several over the years with only a few actual visiting, what I would consider well known locations, I appreciate it is a numbers game and we all Waymark for different reasons (collectors of one or another Category etc) Can Geocache HQ publish regional posts, hits, uptakes - regional statistics not national? For example How many "active Waymarkers /visitors within a region.. What is Geocache HQ doing to promote Waymarking? There are no links between the two - Geocaching and Waymarking, why not?? To consider the time and effort on setting up a Group/Categories and then to managing it Achievement is measured by effort and results- If I create a Group and subsequent Categories, which are accepted, Will it be noticed? My current idea for a Group and the Categories therein, although local to me, has the potential for worldwide responses. As a consequence would like some reassurances to proceed. I look forward to all of your thoughts
  7. Reading this forum I can see that there are many fellow cachers who do not like challenges. A challenge is a general term referring to things that are imbued with a sense of difficulty and victory http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Challenge I took up the "challenge" of setting some Challenging finds. This by virtue is very different in my opinion, to Waymarking! however, a challenge should be acceptable to all, achievable by means... I set my clues with some cryptic slant, however, I am sure, once you are on my wavelength; the challenge could be solved. I am able to offer up further clues once committed. We must ALL consider geocaching is for ALL and that then we should equally consider the same for Challenges. We ALL have our reasons why we set out geocache, single, multi or other. My present personal situation restricts the amount of time that I would have to manage set geocahes, we have all come across them poor condition and not maintained, hence why I set Chalenges, in some cases worthy of a 4-4 rating as a cache. My challenges, being lateral, cryptic can take several attempt at GZ and requiring local research. It is up to the individual to accept or decline My Point is:- along with other sensible suggestion. Like a cache find, automated notification to the owner once logged. enables tracking and comment to wrong finds, or the not so trusted logger. (I am by virtue still a newby to geocaching, this is the first ever forum, I hope i'm in the right place?) If this is available and have missed the tab to tick please advise....
