I recently put out a TM named "screwed" and it has been retrieved form 2 caches and placed in 2 new caches but no miles are being added to its page. Can anybody tell me why? I noticed the new page has a section to update mileage, but it doesnt seem to do anything. Help please.

I found Rexas Geocoin in a cache today. I thought they were easy to log on the Groundspeak pages, but I had nio luck figuring how to track it. Aren't they logged and tracked just like Travel Bugs? Can somebody please tell me where and how to log this Texas geocoin? Do I havr to go to Texasgeocaching.com and opena an account there? Thank You!

Retrieve it, log it, photo it and move it. They are designed to be moved- move it anywhere you like. I have found 2 so far. I logged one and left it where it was and took one and plan to move it to another state.

Recently I took a vacation from Texas to Calif fo a week and placed a TB in a cache. When I returned home to log it into the cache it showed that it had been grabbed by somebody else who took it from the cache before I could log it into the cache. My question is this: If I am going to be gone traveling for weeks at a time and placing TBs all around, how do you avoid having them grabbed before you can log them in on your return home? I guess I could log them into where I intend to put them BEFORE I leave, but then I might not be able to place them there or may actually place them some place else. How do you handle this dilemna when you are going to be gone for a week or two? Thanks!

New Jeep TB Question: Does finding a jeep do any more for you in the contest then just registering for the drawing? I didn't see where finding a jeep was any advantage in the contest. Am I wrong? Or is there a seperate contest for jeep finders that I just haven't found yet? Thanks all!

Yes, I had Garmin set. I tried it again just now and it works fine! I don't know what the problem was before, but it is downloading great now.

Yes, I am getting an error message. I thought it probably was due to the 4800 baud and 9600 baud issue-- but I guess you are saying you get a 4800 baud reading on your GPS too. So that isnt the problem?

I just got started in geocaching and am trying to download waypoints from easygps. It appears that easygps downloads at 9600 baud and that can't be changed. My Garmin Etrex Summit says it uploads at 4800 baud, and I dont think that can be changed. I am not really too high tech, but I havent been able to download any way points. Can these "presets" be changed, and if so how? Can somebody please help me on this? Thanks!
