  1. As a single Dad with kids in tow, I carry a "sport bag". You know, that's what the cool Dad's carry these days. It holds all types of stuff, but most importantly, DIAPERS. So, it wouldn't be good to mug me in the woods...
  2. But I am a Commercial Instrument Single and Multi Engine Land pilot, with an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic licence. Worked in this great industry for 5 years from fueling aircraft to structural mods on classfied millitary airplanes. I now am looking for work, and still have over $75,000 in student loans. Aerospace is a great thing as a hobby, but as a career choice may not be so smart... Oh, and I am looking to buy your unused aircraft for really cheap...!
  3. I have done only two caches on motorcycle, but enjoyed it. Imagine riding at 65 MPH and pulling the Garmin out of your pocket, not easy. I had a basic idea of where I was going, but did stop to look at my map. When I stopped, a nice Texan pulled over to help me (I don't need no help! And I NEVER get lost either!) A nice ride on a summer day. I do plan on cyclecaching more this summer, if anyone wants to ride in SE Mass. X
  4. Sorry Jeep people, but the title of this discussion should be "Show a pic of your Xterra, or haven't you bought one yet?" Yes, my 2002 Xterra is the ultimate caching chariot. I originally bought it as a classy looking family car, then discovered the off road capabilities. Oh, and also discovered how much Jeep people whine about them... I have also taken my 1982 Yamaha Virago 750 out on a few caches.
  5. ... if you've tried to think of a way to make Geocaching into an MLM scheme. ... you've tracked all the people in your "downline" and encouraged them to cache more. ... you think it would make a great religion. ... your first wife didn't like caching, but your next one will!!
  6. Here's a good one in TX: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=9372 You don't actually know it's in a building until you get there. I figured it out right away, but some people are really stumped by it.
  7. I have a geo-friend (and you know who you are!!) who calls me at home when he's on the hunt and needs another clue. So I have to get on the internet and find him a clue, then call him back. Guess the cell works for his purposes. I have other friends who call me after 9:00 to use up their free minutes, but that's a whole nuther thread!
  8. Xcacher combines my love of geocaching with my love of the ultimate geocacher ride, the Xterra!!
