Steve is shipping out the coins as fast as he can. They arrived in partial shipments but all are here now and most have gone out.
Production time indeed did run well over 45 days. I had what was finished shipped to us and we began shipping those that we could. I promise you that Steve has been packng swords every night this week.
The Satin finishes look spectacular too! You will be quite pleased with them!

I think you will find that the entire weekend is a coin trading frenzy. Some will enjoy you so much they will just give a coin....Really it happens!

We just got a photo of our coin. This one has a color error in the peace sign. It will be a process blue.
But other than that, here it is! A mix of suncatcher and solid hard enamel.
This one was a real bear! Several design changes and a few very late nights to make it happen. But it looks GROOVY! Hope you all like it as well!

I'd say I would draw the line at coins as corporate advertisements. Say, a Microsoft coin, or a Starbucks coin. I would not buy, trade, or lust after such coins.
However, I would still probably discover them, and if I received one as an FTF or mission I'd have no qualms about putting it up on eBay!
If showing that starbucks coin gave me a percentage off my coffee I could! LOL! Just like I hated to see the cows go away down the street to a corporate america strip mall. But oh my! Once that drive thru starbucks started to go up, I was more "okay" with it.

I bought a very nice geocoin on the internet. When I activated it I discovered it only had a generic icon. I assumed the icon was included in the price of the coin... guess not! Is there any way to buy an icon for the coin now? Or do I just have to settle for a picture on the bug page?
Nope, the owner of the series would have to do that. You would also have to buy 250 numbers and pay 150.00 for the icon itself. A lot for one little coin, even if you could.

I don't think this is coin will have the issues of the others. It is a completly different program. And the art is unique to Geoscouting.

That's true but you can only order tracking numbers in groups of 100. They say 250 tracking numbers to order the icon but in reality its 300 tracking numbers.

You're welcome. Neither have icons at this time. To get an icon for a coin you must order 300 tracking numbers + pay for the icon. It was hard enough convincing my wife to let me invest in geocoins but I did convince her that if at least 300 geocoins of a type went I could get the icons.
I like icons too, I can't wait to get my first icon on a coin.

I woul ask about that. Just trying to help you here. But 250 can be purchased. I do it at least once a week.

Goofy is the only disney character tall enough for me. So, I am rather partial to him.

Here is irony for you. I went to one of the American factories. Got a quote, a little high but okay. Reconfirmed it was domestic and got back a "oh, no! It is import." So, some of the domestic factories are sending out their colored enamels as well. At a very high price I might add.
For them to do a muliti colored coin is 1.00 per coin per color more! I priced a coin at 27.00 a piece! This was a 1.50"!
I say yeah to free Trade! Or we would not have Geocoins. And Groundspeak would have less to work with too!

HWS has the racks and The caching place has a really fantastic coin book. I have all my Hogwild coins in a Caching Place coin book.
They should pay me for that. ;-)

i contacted a forum member who had one AE coin left of the wonderful old cameras geocoin. she asked for my trading list. i had to laugh because i only have a few coins so really had no "lists" per se. but she wanted one of my coins and my reaction was "really?!" so today i shipped off my very first geocoin trade and talk about excited and addicted i think.
it's like being allowed to play in the big kids sandbox.
