I am very excited that I have been given the opportunity to announce this awesome new coin.
DeLorme had this beautiful coin made to celebrate the release of their new Earthmate PN-40 GPS.
Designed by Chris Mackey- It is 2" in diameter on the outside and a whooping 16 mm thick at it's spinning center!
This coin will not be for sale. You will be able to find it in caches starting the end of this month. So keep on caching and navigating and perhaps you will be lucky enough to move this coin.
More details will follow as they become available. I wonder who will find the first one?

I got Goofed!
At the Saturday night coin swap at the MWGB I was making the rounds and trading coins like crazy! I kept leaving other people to watch my coins so I didn't have to carry them around everywhere until I was ready to make a trade. So I went back to my coin box, and inside it I found GOOFY!

We so have the choice to buy or not buy. But if we go to cache and there is a coin with removable undergarments and strategically places magnets underneath. I have no way of knowing, until the 5 year old I took caching starts shopping the can and pulling everything out.
That is the really thing we have to keep in mind.

Having worked on a Geowoodstock event committee I have some empathy here. These folks are dog tired. I am sure half the people that were on committee left it on the 25th of May. LOL! Those remaining are doing the best they can. It may take time, but I am sure you will get your coin. Would you rather have the coin late or not at all?
Sometimes after a huge event like this it is confusing knowing who has what merchandise. No one lives in the same place and they are not working in an office together. So hunting down has to happen. I know I did plenty of hunting down after GW4.
Next time try and have some one pick it up for you. I did some picking up for people and that went smoothly.
They did a great Job putting on a giant event! Give them a little more time. I am sure it will get there.

For an Easy and over simplified first step...lets all agree and tell all our freinds that ask about coin design to not pay for artwork until it is done? The consumer can set the policy.
Worse case prepaying should only be half at start and final at approval.

Hi! Icon is now fixed.
The coins are moving like crazy now that summer tourist season has started. I should have the site up soon.
I really apologize for the delay. There are so many to follow and I wasn't quite sure how to do it. Those issues have been solved. So now I have to manually enter all the information.

I have participated in the chick projects for GW5 and GW6 as well as the Midwest Geobash. I was curious how many folks do a special signature item when they go to a MEGA. And are you already planning your GW7 item?
Hopefully this will be a fun little thread through out the year as we move towards belt buckle.

* What was the very first event to have Mega status?
* Who first proposed the idea of the Mega Event to Ground Speak?
I Believe that answer to that question is on the pursuit of caching Geowoodstock special edition geocoin.
Actually both were and one got changed.

You can try activating again. We actually failes to laod about 41 numbers. Of course those were the 41 everyone seems to have!

What about the replacement LE swords? Are those still coming to us?
I recived my V1 swords today
well worth the wait for them but I was missing the error LE coin from the set. The sale said The Pirate Bushwhacking 3 Coin Set includes the LE Silver with Gold On the Skull the error coin - Plus a spare sword - the corret coin with gold on the front and back of the skull is the only one I recived today. I diden't recive the error coin
Should the people who received the three set v1 swords receive a fourth sword? It would be nice to receive an answer to this question unless I missed it.
This is the information from the website:
This includes the LE Silver with Gold On the Skull - Plus a spare sword that will be mailed to you in 3-4 weeks.
(Why the spare sword? The coin was not done right. There should have been gold on the front and the back, but these came with Gold only on the front. As soon as the correct ones come in they will be mailed to you at no additional charge.)
Those people who got the note about the cart issue recieved the two tone coin correctly produced. I am sorry if there was some confusion. I suppose that could have been more clear.
We did the best we could to make good on the cart issue. We did not ask the factory to make more swords incorrectly. That would have added to their confusion and who knows what we would have gotten.

My Husband brought the mail in and handed me an envelope. I saw the return address was my own and got all giddy! He looked at me like I was crazy. I couldn't wait to find the scissors so I just swiped that package open with a steak knife. LOL!
And what a awesome coin was inside! With the sweetest note! I really appreciated the sentiment.
Sometimes I think if you if you fence me in, at least the area where I lose stuff would be smaller! Not that it helps, cuz I put this sweet thing down and it took me 10 minutes to find it!
Now it is safe and sound.Thanks again, It was a really very unexpected and nice suprise.

Please keep them all in your prayers and thoughts. Many of those in that region have family that has traveld to work in the factories. They are unable to get into contact with their families in the qauke zone and are quite scared for their well being.

Welcome to the world Jillian! I have your birthday twin in my house.
Collette will be so excited to hear that she was born on her birthday! She was born on Saturday night that year. So the same date and day of the week! Cool.
Now make sure you bring some thing really good for your wife to eat tomorrow.....No one wants hospital food on mothers day!
