  1. From what I understand members of team DeLorme will be dropping them all over the country as they travel to promote their Earthmate GPS PN-40 GPS.

I am not sure if they have events posted on thier website. But figuring out where they are going to be is not a bad idea..

    Good luck to everyone!

  2. To anyone who attended gcf o8'.Are the ketchup bottle terrible towel and the trolley pins that we all recieved in or swag bag when registering trackable or not.I know they have some type of number on the back. But when i tried activating them it came up error. ;)

It is an inventory control number.

    Thanks,

    Oakcoins/Oakpins

    :) sure it is.

  3. My son (geokid1, 6 years old) had a blast trading his tags at GCF. At the end of the day on Sunday, we were looking through his collection binder when we found a goofy coin stuck in there. He was so surprised and excited :(:) (he really likes getting things that I don't have)! Thanks to the goofy cacher for giving him one. You made that kid really happy! :D To make it even better, he had a visit from the tooth fairy Saturday night since he lost his first tooth at GCF. What a big weekend for a kid!!

That is awesome! I remember that boy with the pathtag shirt. I signed it! Couldn't happen to a nicer kid. Congratuations!

  4. Lenore and the Jims, you did an awesome job! I really enjoyed getting to know each of you better. You were a joy to work with! I think that vendors usually have a good idea how a event is going to go just by our interactions with the commitee. You guys did not disappoint. You were so organized and on top of things. It showed and I heard no one complaining. Thank you so much for making all of us look so good!

The place was packed! All the tables were full of coins boxes and those small little things with holes in them.

From what I remember of Saturday night it was a blast! I am sure the part I don't remember was even MORE fun!

Making new friends, catching up with long time friends and getting to know my frienemies better was so easy with so much at this location. The location was really perfect and worked out great!

Thanks again for all the hard work and effort!

  5. When we started planning what we would do for coinfest this year we threw around several ideas. Trying to keep in mind the collector of Geocoins. We came to the conclusion that Geocoins have gotten more and more popular over the last few years. And that many collectors are new. So we decided to bring back some of our favorites. But we changed them up of course!

Do you recognize any of them? You will have to come and visit us at Geocoinfest Pittsburgh to see what we did to these darlings of Hogwild Stuff.

100 or less of each classic available.

Those that originally had sequential numbering are also numbered with the SE distinction.

We look forward to seeing you there!

  6. I am not defending anyone here. Believe me, I don't think it would fly anyway.

But I do happen to know this coin has been in the works and well into some sort of production since March. I saw the numbers posted a number of months ago. We really do not know how long Jeremy has been waiting to get his coins. Perhaps Geocoin Design is doing things in order and this coin was first in line?

That is not to belittle all the coins people are waiting for. Just a little perspective. We have no idea how many personal mintings are involved. Those people are expecting their services as well. That some product is coming out should be considered a good sign.

No fair to flame Jeremy when we have no idea what his journey has been.

  7. I love it.... but I doubt I will be able to get it in time for Halloween.... have to add on at least 2 weeks mailing time.

Oh well, maybe for next year, but then it won't be quite so novel.

These are well into production and we expect them late next week.
