Focus of the meeting will be to Get a focus of the group, see if there is indeed an intrest. and who knows what else shall pop up. Most likely it will be in the Tacoma area, my idea, my backyard.

  3. Too funny! It will warp Vinny to admit it, but I suppose that yes, once you get to the top of the pylon it's a simple find! Not really. I heard the "yellow box" is actually the most obvious of over 19 decoy caches he has up there. A few of the fake rocks already fell off in a recent storm, so the exact number is unknown. Cache description says nothing of the decoy containers. Unless I was to tired when I read it. (putting on asbestos suit) I thought this cache was over rated, as I read it, a terrain 5 YES!!! difficulty 1. CO even tells you the container in the description in case you do use remote vehicle. A simple find, IMO equals a difficulty rating of 1. enter the flames.
  4. A real cacher would just put on waiters and walk or a wet suit and swim. Suck it up and get it done. Come on you where in the Navy. ;P
  5. Congrat need to go out to JoeyandCorey while at GeoWoodstock, the boy made the 800th find. Nice job guys.
  6. Mom got her #100, COOOL way to go!!!!!!! Reece sends his love.
  7. Please explain the event so we can offer help...
  8. I live in Tacoma, have done some of these caches and still think it would be fun.
  9. Read this in the TNT recently... http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0oGklr3LzJIecoA...ory/362003.html and an update from a friend. It was his brother in law... I'm sending out a general email to everyone to let you know the latest incident for my family. Last Thursday about 5:00 PM, my brother and his girlfriend were taking a walk through Pt. Defiance Park in Tacoma when they were hit by a car going 70 mph. It is a miracle that they both survived. Drugs and alcohol were involved, and the driver was 19. My brother, xxxx had a collapsed lung, torn diaphram, multiple broken ribs, multiple breaks in his pelvis, multiple breaks in his left leg, and possible breaks in his right ankle (too bruised and swollen to tell for sure). His girlfriend has lacerations on her head, multiple breaks to her pelvis, both legs badly broken, and arm broken in several places. XXXX has had surgery to repair his diaphram. He is currently hooked up to a machine to help him breathe, and will be for a little while, so his diaphram can heal. They put pins in his left leg and put it in traction Saturday. They will be evaluating his pelvis on Monday to see if they need to to surgery on it. XXXXX has had surgery to repair both her legs. She won't need surgery on her pelvis. They both have months of recovery time ahead. (names removed for obvious resons). Just a note to make sure we are all being really carefull out there. I can't imaging even trying to attempt 70 on 5 Mile Drive. But some one tried, didn't do to well. I know I have lost myself in my GPs walking along the side of the road enroute to the next cache. I guess a relatively safe place is now off the list.
  10. Is this cache fair? who cares! Sorry to be brash, but the cache was approved. It met the guidelines it It must be ok. Reading this thead has brought an old saying to mind "UGLY AMERICAN TOURIST!" We are all sitting here behind our computers complaining and critisising about a cache halfway around the world, most of us will never get a chance to do. We should not let our politically correct views of America, influence how a country that has been around since the beging of time runs thiers. Leave that for our government to do. This is a Greek custom and law, not ours. Let it be!!!! Just my .02
  11. Dougie clan no yard here live in aptment no cabana either or should i just give thomas brothe page no and grids? Thats why I can geocache, I dont have a lawn to mow or weed ect ect, (no maintainance). I guess that kinda make my yard as big as the car takes me.
  12. As I am reading the posts, I am envisioning the group encoumpasing Kitsap, Pierce, Mason and Thurston Counties. Of course some extreme outer area might not be interested, such as Port Gamble or Eatonville. at the same time some in Southern King might. Just putting lines out to have lines. Meetings DEFINATELY should roatate throught the area, espcially w/ $4 gall gas (Silverdale, Tacoma, Oly). As of right now it is just in the infantcy planning stages, and I'm woundering what I got myself into. Open to any and all feedback.
  13. Anyone interested in meeting up and discussing caching in the southsound?
  14. A night assualt? that might get me to go back to that godless stickhole of a swamp. how big is the group? is the moon full? anyone know how wet it is there?
  15. I'm surprised some of us can remember the post event festivites. IT! The seas where very heavy toward the end of the night and my sea legs where not as strong as some others. And lets be glad the cameras didnt come out in the AM. There was a small thoought of shanghing Deb and taking her to breakfast and making the he who has no spawn whatch all the children as the rest enjoyed a nice leiserly breakfast. But it was quickly voted down. Have I moved up the totem yet? PLEASE???????
  16. Add the Earthcache challenge to my liat as well.
  17. Sounds like some one needs to put an evil cache out and put waypoint on a golf ball as part of a multi. 1 golfball in a can of many in that area plagued by the golfball bandit. Golfballs are a big deal around here.
  18. Done that twice. Here is the most recent, drove by between cache before olice or fire showed up. NOT PRETTY. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/loca...syndication=rss
  19. My goals: 1) host (with help) a mega event. 2) Find the other APE cache 3) Find at least one cache on each continent (yes, all 7) 4) Have the 25 oldest cache found, and keep current. 5) Find Found 50 States, I'm Going to Disneyland! (GCRFNN) 6) Find Rainbow Hydrothermal Vents (GCG822)
  20. I am building a multi now. I might have just go and buy a still shot game camera as a part of the series. Might just put the words "never know who or what might be watching you" in cache descripition." And of course cachers take all risk. I would love to see looks on faces as they open an ammo can to see 50 film cans inside, one with long one with lat, for next stage. Then post on cache page. 8)
  21. misread my paper, DOH! i'm out.
  22. Just read the trail closed in 2000 after, get this.... someone died.
  23. I don't care if it was the tast cache left on earth to get and I would win this game that is not about the numbers. NO WAY IN HEVEN OR HELL AM I GOING ACCROSS THAT PATH. I love my wife and sone, but aint crossing for them. To use the old hippy quote hell no I won't go!
