  1. about 16 (most are close to an ounce) IN THAT case I would love to gain 10-20 pounds in 2006
  2. If Groundspeak wasn't so quick to accept money for tracking numbers that would be a perfect first step. I did not think about that....that might help. But companies other than Groundspeak are selling the numbers, so it might slow the coins but would not stop them. Groundspeak can always delete the numbers from their system, and they always have to approve the coins tracking numbers go on. All it would take is a little background checking. Back groud check? Please tell me you are joking! one of the screening questions will be Have you ever been convicted of making money on geocoins? Seriously what would be the criteria?
  3. cool coin! missed the Gold Edition, but got 3 silver in time. Thanks!
  4. Got a spare kidney? you could sell one and use the cash to buy the old coins ebay Opps I said that said the E word Did you notice that it is a four letter word
  5. so how is the Ebayer suppose to know when everyone else has gotten thier coins? so is there a grace period that the Ebayer should wait before he Should list your coins? By the way whose coins are they?
  6. Thats right friend, I made them, sold them, and did not make a profit on them so why should I allow anyone else to make a profit off of something that is meant to be kept out of respect for the military? My service to this country is voluntary. I'm not a bounty hunter in Iraq trying to make money off of each AIF I capture. This is how I see anyone who wants to sell a geocoin that is meant for a good cause. Target Identfied ! On the way! Target destroyed !!! . you sold the coin. you took someone's money. you made the deal and you are trying to justify backing out on the deal. Making up new terms for the deal that was already made. Honorable? sorry don't think so Again I thank you for your service!
  7. Yes I am serious . I designed and made this coin from Mosul,Iraq. It was made for geocachers who support the military service members in Iraq and Afganastan. I was inspired to make this coin because of the risk I take everytime I leave the FOB. I did not make this coin to end up on EBAY... Since I paid for the Silver OIFGA coins and still have control of the coins it will be up to me if I want give a refund or not. This is how I feel about my geocoins. First, Thank you for serving. You make us proud. But I really don't understand the taboo of coins on ebay. People want them. People will buy and sell them. the word freedom comes to mind. And you obviously know more than most about that. So you sold them and nobody else should be able to? Just a thought for your next coin. have the words "do not sell on Ebay" on it somewhere. Or perhaps require buyers sign "I WILL NOT EBAY" Contracts.
  8. I think this is Smokey & The Teacher. He's getting rid of my coin too. Can anyone comfirm if they are the ones doing this? If so I am stopping the OIFGA coin from going to them and refunding their money. Are you serious? you gonna right down on the names of the Ebay bidders too? Make sure they don't get one. If they are selling activated coins they do not own then I say we lynch them. Other wise what are they doing wrong?
  9. That is interesting that the front and back of the coin do not appear to be the same on the www.geocoinclub.com website coin gallery? So I assume the pics in the auction are correct given they are photos and the www.geocoinclub.com pic is just a rendered drawing?
  10. Have a Green Selective Avalilibilty Geocoin club coin will trade for an ammo can
  11. If you can get the COIN for your COIN then I say go for it Go Ebay!
  12. You can only get away with that if you don't use the gc.com logo or website address. As soon as you put gc.com on your personal, not for profit use coin, you screw yourself. I believe you can put the words www.geocaching.com on your personal coin as much as you like and still sell them. However if you want to buy tracking numbers from GC.com for your own personal coins you must aggree to thier terms. And they say you must agree you will not sell them. Pictures are different though. using thier logo without permission would be a bad idea. I could be wrong and reserve that right.
  13. Just wondering what people think is a fair price for a person Geocoin. Assuming it is not Trackable It is a standard 1.5 inch size It is a Team geocoin 300 of them were made
