Day Trips: within an 1hr drive from SW London
Team LRS replied to TheAardvarkFamily's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
As your a premium member why not do a local Pocket Query search around london area of your choice and go from there. Thats all we do when we are visiting anywhere with the caravan.....just download 500 local cache's and go for it. -
Like them..........like them a lot
-
You're very welcome...the adoptions I send will be for Look Twice Geocoins...I created these to travel and spread the word, so it doesn't really matter who "Owns" the coin...the purpose will be served just the same. Thanks for the chance to adopt one of these coins.....look forward to help spread the word.
-
We would gladly adopt a coin if there is any left with out a home.
-
Dont forget to log it in and out of a cache in the uk to help with there mileage count......sure someone will be going over sea's that could take it back.
-
Nice to see other scout idea's.......would you like to sell a coin or two for my cache in the uk ?? GC11164 Scouting Centenary Thanks Team LRS

First class series.......we were looking at them just last week as we have a trip planed to this area in August. Hope someone closer can take them on.....Good Luck -
You can also track your TB's progress in your profile.....when you log into GC.....click MY PROFILE and then accross the top you will see...TRACKABLE ITEMS....in ( mine )......click on MINE and that will list all your TB's.

Looks like the powers that be have been hard at work......all looks fine. Thanks guys.

We have had THIS TB of ours travel over 300miles and it only shows the local miles we put on it. Ive removed some of the first posts to see if that changed anything and checked the dates when it was logged in and out and all are correct.......were a little lost too

Cache adoptions........
Team LRS replied to NickandAliandEliza's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Any more info like how many and there locations/area etc ? -
1.....Thats your choice......but all mine are unactivated. 2.....You can transfer the ownership if you trade or sell them with no problems......but i find that activated coins dont make as much money as unactivated ones.

Garmin 60csx compass settings for geocaching?
Team LRS replied to F.A.N.'s topic in GPS technology and devices
I use mag north......its always got me to where i need. -
I would try the local council.....not sure how quick they will respond tho.
-
Sorry for your loss my friend......our dog Jet goes everywhere with me....she was bought by me for my wife but the pooch had different ideas and has grown up by my side. She too has her own TB and can be tracked JET

50-70 feet is a long way off......you sure the coords are being uploaded right ? Try getting another gps unit to compair against yours (maybe another cacher/mates unit)
-
I think you have hit the nail on the head. The cache contents sure have reduced in 4years that i have been into the hobby......not sure what i would like to see in the box's but the kids stuff is not worth them exchanging anymore. We carry quite a few keyrings and pens from the GC shop etc to leave as a keepsake for those that want them but dont often take anything but TB's/coins.....unless the kids want to swap something.

best inexpensive device for paperless caching...
Team LRS replied to skeezicks's topic in GPS technology and devices
I must say that the PDA route is by far the easyiest and cheapest for me.....you only need to use the PDA for a short period to look at the cache listing etc and is very easy to work out the long multi's as most PDA's have a note pad/calculator built in. Im selling my PDA now as i have a mobile phone which runs windows mobile and has free internet so i can search GC when needed. Highly recommend getting a PDA for the cost and ease of use. -
Just go to the cache you droped it off in and retrieve it from there.....then you can drop it off in the correct cache.
