  1. Probably so. Would be nice to see a meet & greet Garmin & Groundspeak on the east coast. East Coast? The New GPS'r is called the COLORADO. Where do you think it should be launched? VEGAS!
  2. In case you might have missed it: http://www8.garmin.com/ces/colorado/index.html "Also, a limited-edition geocoin has been minted to commemorate the launch of Colorado and Wherigo." I wonder if they will be handing these out at the event in Las Vegas Sunday .
  3. I would suggest anyone doing this put TNT in the Title. I have been searching: geocoin* tnt and getting only one hit. Having TNT in the title would help find these coins. Thanks nielsenc
  4. HO HO HO Today I go to my mailbox to the mailbox to get everything before Christmas. As I pulled out the mail, I noticed a brown package. O must be another Geocoin I recently bought. Like always, I checked to see who it was from to know what Geocoin it was. To my surprise it had *my* return address on the package. Wondering, I quickly opened the package and found a Stocking Geocoin!!! Thank you Santa for a Merry Christmas... nielsenc
  5. Tried staying awake for these, on the west coast. missed it. anyone have an extra, let me know. This is for my collection. thx.
  6. The first ones they did in silver were artificially expensive. Call the coin 5 bucks base price including profit. The Die is a sunk cost and the metal at the time was what? 8 bucks an Oz? They charged a lot more than 13 bucks. I blame that one on the mint overcharging for the metal. Now if the mint had to polish the die and do a double strike process (similar to the Bullion vs. Proof Silver Liberty coins from the US Mint) for the run in silver and only made 40...then maybe I can see that. But they never said that. I had a chance to glance at the Gold/Silver coins. I think they are worth every penny. You do pay more than spot rate for Gold/Silver blanks. Esp when you do a run of 10 not 1000... Sorry to derail the thread a bit, I guess I should have put in the .
  7. What about those Gold Alaksa AE/XLE coins going for over $1,000 each!
  8. Of the ones I know about, this was not the case.
  9. What are these Oil companies you talk about? My car runs Natural Gas .
  10. Got my Silver and Bronze in the mail today. Great Geocoins!
  11. Got my Silver and Bronze in the mail today. Great Geocoins!
  12. The Geoswag GeoCoin and Pin Club had been using CP since March 2006. Since another company started using CP, we changed to GP for Geocoin & Pin.
  13. While I am not against the idea, I have a question. What if one vendor floods the market with Geocurrency? Does another vendor accept the other vendors Geocurrency? How would the vendor exchange 100 coins back for real dollars/euros? Would there be a cross vendor exchange where this happens, like in Vegas where the casinos go and exchange each others poker chips?
  14. You and me both! I "applied" the same day as I saw the post here, and early in the day, too. I just can't imagine that 1500 went that fast! *crossing fingers and holding thumbs* Naomi They did 20,000 Travel Bugs and those went fast. This is a Geocoin and the numbers were much smaller. O, and there used to be a time where you could sell 1500 coins in an hour!
  15. Did you email support @ oakcoins.com?
  16. This should be something GC reviews as it would only serve to protect the minors that are here. Maybe their accounts could be labeld as tadpoles or something. Agreed.
  17. You are 66% Pittsburgh . Just dont try the Pittsburgh left where I live!
  18. Hopefully you guys will get your water reserves up in HOTlanta to accommodate an extra 500 people in the future!
  19. Look what I just found on Youtube:
  20. Ah, but you skipped over the good part... "Its primary economic base is gold mining and, to a lesser extent, legal prostitution." Nice But what about the caching opportunities! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/gmnearest.a...;zm=13&mt=m
  21. As part of the Battle Mountain Bid, I sent all of them this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Mountain,_Nevada Battle Mountain is perhaps best known as having been designated with the dubious distinction of "armpit of America" in a 2001 Washington Post Magazine article. [1] Battle Mountain has capitalized on this notoriety by staging an annual "Old Spice Armpit Festival", starting in 2002 which has since been done away with.
