  1. Yes, that was bad. But that doesn't hurt anymore. I don't know what happened, but the CO checked on it, but didn't see bees. Also, I found 19 caches after that incident. But not on the same day. Where do you get the spray? Does it repel bees/wasps? YOu can get the spray from the body shop, target, etc. - Look for pillow mist/ essential oils. Keep in mind that after a recent discovery Bees are active in the winter. So much for the benfits of caching in the winter, eh! Really? I thought bees were dead/not active in the winter. Wasps live after they sting. But they cannot survive in the winter. However for bees it is the exact opposite. Bumblebees are the bees that are active during the winter. Recently discovered-2 years ago. Link-http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/wildlife/6521434/Scientists-investigate-phenomenon-of-the-winter-bees.html
  2. Oh... I guess you can't. You can try something external like keeping track of it on MS word or something of the like.
  3. Creative. Imagine if a group in a cache machine was doing that cache.

  5. Go to geocaching.com/my, then there will be something called your logs. Click "show all logs for geocaches" and then click "write note".
  6. You just linked to the same URLs again. I see that. But they weren't the same images when I posted it. The X-Ray status read "X Class Flare" at the time. My guess is on a browser caching issue. Those images are dynamic, not in the sense that they're generated on the fly when requested, but rather that their content (on the server) is updated every X minutes or so (might be only once a day) to reflect the current/latest status. Of course your browser needs to ask the server "has that image been updated since yesterday?" to notice that they've changed. If it doesn't do that, you'll keep seeing the old image. I guess that what matters most anyway is that if we have a truely terrible solar storm, we won't be seeing any images. Proven wrong in the context I read it in.
  7. GS doesn't seem very interested in enforcing the Terms of Use. GS can't enforce the TOU. Do you know that? I've often wondered. c:geo requires you to log in with your username. Seems to me they could identify c:geo users by that and ban accounts that use it. If that's the case and they've chosen not to do that I find that both interesting and confusing. If they were hard set against c:geo they could just shut down the api to break it. That's why C:Geo was banned. It skimmed the website rather then using the API. Heck, the creator of c;geo only made the app for personal use. Who knows what made him put it in the market.
  8. The ever famous Cool Cache Containers thread
  9. ewwwwww Thread of the Day nominee....thanks for the fun and the laughs. Just what we need. A thread of the day. I also Nominate this. Thanks for making my day!
  10. Another incentive to add to geocaching. Long ago a cacher lost his GPS and some days later a cacher found it.
  11. I've seen caches in similar locations use the "Not Recommended for Kids" attribute. That attribute is only used for kids about 5 and under. Kids above that age do not fit into the category, it depends on what the CO is trying to convey.
  12. In an event cache nearby, Geocachers brought typical cache containers and the bomb squad brought typical bomb containers. According to attended logs they said that both types were very similar. I guess Its better to take precuation.
  13. Is this allowed? Asking people to gift them w/ premium/trial memberships on the forums?
  14. glass, a terrible, terrible choice for a caching container. Both look like it was the job of a wild animal.
  15. Let it fly... Once the OP and CO meets they probably will forget what happened btwn them. As what happened with TTJ and his forum arguer.
  16. Ive found a multi cache that makes you count certain objects on a school tile mural. It's a pretty small elementary school in the woods. I am not sure if the school allows visistors or not, all I know is that I was there in the weekend.
  17. There has got to be a story here! Human feces 10 feet from a cache. Can't be better than that.
  18. Imagine this- a multi cache with a WP in each state. A local cacher will maintain each WP.
  19. Except for those that aren't. Sadly it got locked for sarcastic notes. An active locked cache. How sad.
  20. Bummer! YOu guys got stung while edith large cache? \ Spray yourself with any type of pillow fracrancer- better be eucalyptus. Spray that on you and the soothing smell will repel any insects- especially Ticks.
  21. He's wearing short sleeves in the snow?! What I like best? Location, clever container, fun puzzles (check out PhilNi's puzzles), and my favorite.. LPC's! JK
