  1. Toll! Genau das, was ich gesucht habe! Ist sogar besser und detaillierter als GCStatistik! Danke! :-)
  4. I started geocaching in October 2010 and the site availability had always been a big problem. Later it seemed to improve but now it is intolerable again :-( I wonder where the advantages of a premium membership are right now?! Sometimes the site is unusable, the map hasnt worked properly since they introduced the "new" map... Totally annoying :-(
  5. I wonder why we should pay for Premium anymore. The Site has been so slow within the last two weeks. This service is so outrageous. I tried to activate one of my Caches and it took about 30 minutes to access the site. Groundspeak should solve this Problem or they loose me as premium Member. This is currently a dump and lousy Service!
  6. So I will have to start over and re-create the cartridge
  7. Too bad... I can only download the .gwc file for my decive. Renaming it to .zip does not work Any other ideas? The cartridge was so much work and I dont want to create it again
  8. Thank you! I think that was the hint I remembered. I had to rename it to .zip! I will try it out later, thank you!
  9. Hello everybody, i have a short question: I created a Wherigo Cartdridge and uploaded it to Wherigo.com. Unfortunately i lost the original .urwigo file. Is there any possibility to "de-compile" the .gwz file to be able to open it in the Urwigo editor? I remember a post here in the forums that i just have to rename the .gwz file but that did not work Thanks for your help! Chris
  10. Hey all, i am using the Garmin Oregon 450 and I have a problem with a Wherigo cartdridge: I copied the puzzle to the /Wherigo/ folder of my device and after playing, i removed the .gwc file. The cartdridge is still displayed in the Wherigo menu and I can still play it. That's strange: How can I still play a puzzle which does not exist on my device anymore? So I deleted everything from my device which could cause that problem. My /Wherigo/ folder on the device is empty except the two subfolders /Logs/ and /Saves/. I did not change anything in the /Garmin/ folder as I did not want to mess anything up. The SD card just contains my Topopgraphical map, nothing else. Can anybody help me with this problem? Thanks! Chris
  11. Hey everybody, i created a Wherigo cartdrige with the URWIGO builder, compiled and uploaded it to the Wherigo Website. Now i wanted to change the puzzle but the hard disk with the .urwigo file crashed... all files are lost I still have the .gwz and .gwc file. But i can't open these files in the URWIGO builder. Is there any possibility to convert the cartdridge back so that I can open it again with the URWIGO builder application? Thanks for your help, Chris
  12. I had the same problems. I shortened the descriptions and everything was fine. Thanks!
  13. Yes, there are neat features. I like it that the game can be saved because Wherigo crashes relatively often: When I played my cardridge for the first time, everything worked fine. The second time, the Oregon freezed and i had to remove the batteries to restart it. I think it is a problem with the Oregon and not with my cardridge. And when I try to load a saved game, i sometimes get the error that the game could not be loaded and I should check my SD-Card?!
  14. I am currently using Earwigo builder and it works fine! Unfortunately, as i am on iMac, there is only a Windows application available. But the builder itself is easy to use and i can pick my edge points for the zones from the map. My Garmin Oregon 450 also works fine with the compiled cartridge. Well, it sometimes crashed but I think this is a very common problem with Wherigo cartridges.
  15. Then i will go on with the variable approach... I thought there could be a "OnFirstEnter" property or something like that. Setting variables is okay for me, its not that much work.
  16. The problem is that the application does not allow me to pick a location on a map because the map is not being loaded. I always receive an error screen. I downloaded the Urwigo builder and it works perfectly with google maps. I can pick my zone points from the map. But i have another question: Sometimes, i display a message when entering a zone like: "You entered XYZ, look around... perhaps you will find something". When i leave this zone and enter it again, i want the message not to be displayed again. How can i do that? At the moment, i am setting variables (e.g. variable "ZoneXYZEntered") from 0 to 1. When i enter the zone for the first time, the program checks the variable. If it is 0 then the message is being displayed and the variable is set to 1. If the variable is already 1, then nothing happens. I think this is very complicated. Is there an easier way to "trigger" an action when the zone is entered for the first time only?
  17. I would like to use maps for zone marking. Its very easy to mark the zones directly on a map. its complicated if i have to write down the coordinates first after finding them in google earth application. i would like to have access to earwigo.
  18. Does it mean i need to be connected to the internet in the US or does it mean it works with US maps only? Because i created a new cardridge and located the "home coordinate" in the US and it didn't work either (i'm from germany)... when i visit terraserver.com i can see images from my hometown... the imagery seems to cover the whole world. but only the us maps are accessible in the Wherigo software? that means i have to find the coordinates with google maps, convert them to a format the Wherigo builder accepts and enter them manually?! or is there an easier solution? Wherigo caches seem to be real fun... even creating them. but entering the zone coordinates manually makes it way too complicated
  19. Hey, i just began to create a Wherigo cache. After reading the tutorials, i wanted to create a "Zone". There is this neat feature called "Create from map"... When i click on that button, a new window appears and a map should be loaded. But i receive the following error message: TerraServer DrawTerraMap Error There was an error using TerraServer Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: http://terraservice-usa.com/GetAreaFromPt. Can anybody help me? What is the problem? Thanks! Chris
