[Explorist Does Not Support .img-files]

Is there any posibility to use .IMG-Files for the eXplorist?

 

I got this info from Thales Navigation Customer Support:

These maps are not compatible with latest eXplorists as far as this unit can not read .IMG map files whereas Meridians could. It is only compatible with .IMI and .MGI files, created by our mapping softwares when defining a region to upload.

I would like to know, which one has more lost Signal.

 

eXplorit 400 seems to be same as eXplorist 600

 

I would be very important for me.

Hi!

Did anyone compare GARMIN GPSMAP 60CS with MAGELLAN eXplorist 600

(or similar GPSMAP ??? with eXplorist ???)

in bad conditions (for example under tree cover and rain)

 

I only want to compare reception in this topic and not the other differences.

I want to use it most time in forests but have no possibility to compare both at same time.

eXplorist 500 (i have already tested) seems to have great reception!!

But GPSMAP has better maps for my location.
