Hi!
I made a test logging 1/second
It had to run over night but stopped at 22:44:19 UTC after 20360 records.
94% full on mSD
In the mornig it took 2-3 seconds when i hit any key until there was any reaction.
I powered the unit off and on.
a new .GPX was generated automatically.
Maybe the limit will be on 20360 records or there is any other reason why it stopped recording and it is going to be slower.
It was NOT possible to open the .gpx with MS 6.9.1 or MS 6.10.03Beta
I opened it with g7towin (no problem) and saved it as an .GPX (same extension, different name)
Now it was able to open with MS.
Loggin features:
Wrap when full
Record Method TIME (every 1 second)
Log Track to Data Card (94% full on 512 mSD card)
Can anyone confirm this?

cool!
I was searching such kind of list a few weeks ago. Great job!

7. March 2006
Any ideas when a new firmware-update is coming?
-
Me too.
200m visible
300m invisible
Would prefer visible limit to 800m

2) How do we get custom POIs to show up on the map the way the user waypoints do? I can tell the CSx to show all of the map points at a certain zoom level, but then it shows me every POI (food, lodging, auto service, attractions) except my custom ones. Isn't there a way to decide which icons show up and which ones don't? Say, only resaurants and custom POIs? I wouldn't mind having a visual reference for when I'm near a cache or a restaurant, but I could care less how close I am to the nearest community center....

Timpat discovered it:
select Menu/Setup Map/Menu/Show All

@Timpat
Thats it. GREAT!!
Thank you - now it works.
-
...
I've updated the firmware to 2.60, so at least it now works with nRoute,
...
It works? - What cable do you use.
USB or serial?
My gpsmap60csx does not communicate with nRoute via USB (FW 2.60)
-
I do not know how to display my POI-Data on the map-screen.
Only the selected POI is visible.
Is it possible to show all POIs on the display?
I like the POI-System.
I make small groups for different things (sortet by countries, campings, ..) and save them on the disk in different .GPX-Files in one Folder.
uploaded by garmins poi-loader, i am possible to select via custom points of interests - select database
But only one POI is shown on map screen
Maybe the question is not new - but i was unable to search for "POI" because minimum wordlengh is 4

Firmware 2.60 (gpsmap60csx)
Still the same Problem. - sometimes it shows 29999m
Do you also still have the same problem.
-
Changes made from version 2.50 to 2.60:
* Improve compatibility with nRoute PC application
Thats all i have to say using a USB-cable
-
Does it work now with the new firmware?
-
Thanx
>>update released within the next few weeks
Sounds great. I am very interesting about the next Update Firmware 2.5xx or even more

If you live close to an airport try going to the pilot suppliy shop They usually sell 3 different grades of
Meguiars canopy cleaner and scratch remover I've been using their mirror glaze 17 for years and it doe's great on cleaning and light scratches it's only about 8 bucks for an 8 ounce bottle. They should have a scratch remover kit also, which is a little more expensive but will take out deep scratches.
do you know the company name of this scratch remover?

From the map page if you press menu once, then choose setup map, then move over two icons to the flag. You can turn off street labels, that will get all of the smaller streets. It looks like it doesn't turn off major highways. But give it a try and see.
Thanks,
kgag.
Map Points = OFF
User Waypoints = OFF
Street Label = OFF
Land cover = OFF
But (look at pic from 1. Thread) Street information ist still listed
-
Is there any possibility to use the map with all the streets BUT no street information numbers?

Maybe not your mother-language:

There is an additional safety line to prefent loosing the unit. Not shown on this picture.
My unit:

Yes, but it takes a little bit time.

Hi!
Does anyone have the same problem with the active log file (viewed in Mapsource).
sometimes it shows the correct elevation (100-300m)
soemtimes it shows 29999m
sometimes it shows -1500m
I am always in an area between 100-400 meters above sealevel
Is it a firmware problem or a unit problem?
-
The map set is approximately 411,5 MB, but only 483,5 MB is available in the destination.
Please choose a smaller map set and try again.
Is this a new type of calculation. Did anyone have same reults?
-
Did you install nRoute?
I had the problem after installing nRoute.
-
Had the same problem.
Reason: gps was plugged but still had no contact.
plug the gps complete until block.
I think you can plug it 1/2 to 1 millimeter more!!
-
