  1. and take your picture with a GPS, etc. I can see this getting out of hand. We'll have everything from every McDonalds, Starbucks to bar-b-que joints....nail salons, tattoo parlors.
  2. I haven't seen anyone in any of my 70+ finds....I always wished I did especially when I couldn't find the blasted thing....wouldn't have minded some help!!
  3. Sorry, I can't believe my country's military are raping Iraqis, but rather maybe a select numbered sick, psuedo-entitled animals who call themselves Americans. Don't you dare bring down the whole military because you have perverted ideas of your own.
  4. Thanks, with these directions, I finally figured out how to do it.
  5. Just did about 10 in that area 2 weeks ago.....look up Boulder City NV.....have a great time, it was beautiful!!! Also there are some benchmarks in the area, especially if you visit Hoover dam.... check my stats for some of the caches.
  6. Shocked that you forgot this one: ESPN!!!
  7. I for one would like to see earthcaches being quite limited. I would love to keep them for extremely outstanding natural phenomenoms, habitats, historical value, etc. I have only been to one earthcache, to visit the only remaining 1% of the prairies in the midwest.....it even came with instructions on how to walk through the prairie, which is very different than walking in the woods. It wasn't hard to find, but it made you think and appreciate. Other submissions that don't cut the mustard could be down-graded to virtuals which aren't approved as much, for good reason. I have really started changing my views on caching, it used to be the prize (especially since I'm toting children) but now I want to go for historic, natural and educational value. They seem so much safer too! Toodles, Queenie
  8. Just want to share my gratitude to you and your family......
  9. If you liked this cache, you might enjoy the Homeless Bathtub cache in TN.
  10. 5-6 would be my limit as well. I've been working on a 5 legger, and just too busy to go to the last one because of its distance from the others. So the conclusion will have to wait for a more appropriate time.
  11. I like to read what people have encountered in the logs, whether it be bear, poison ivy or a gator. It allows me the opportunity to skip it, or do it in another season. Likewise, I will comment especially if it is wheelchair accessible or family friendly, because specifics help those geocachers with special needs or those who lug up to 6 kids at a time. It all falls back to if they don't want to do it, they don't have to.
  12. Wouldn't that make a cool virtual?????? Or is it already? .....sorry, just read the cache description.
  13. Sounds interesting, what do those look like? And could you put those in some caches in the St. Charles Missouri area?
  14. Those GeoCoasters are great, ever think about making them the logo colors???
  15. "In the midnight hour, she screamed "more, more more"."
  16. Right now, I have 5 waypoints downloaded into my GPSr for a scavenger hunt for my soon-to-be 11 year old. He's going to have to go a multi-cache to find his birthday presents. Is this what you mean?
  17. Anyone seen one of these? I logged it with the site, but not sure if I want to get involved with another site or not. They offer free coins, I guess to get them out there..... They also mention Navicache. Call me naive, I just assumed this was the only (and the best) geocaching site. But I guess with anything there are always spin-offs of a good thing.
  18. Yep, just "write a note" instead of a "found". I had to do that to get my first TB, simply because when I went to caches that said there was a TB in it, there wasn't!
  19. I go for the find, but since I take my young sons, treasure is important to them. I've learned not to get too frustrated with the quality of treasures, it's just not worth it, I try my best to leave good stuff, maybe it will catch on......
  20. Oh, I'm gaining more and more self confidence with all these photos of snakes!!! Where's an icon for wetting one's pants????
  21. Rain, rain, come to Missouri... We need you, and in a hurry!!!!!
  22. Cub Scout leader training, two years ago. I looked on the site and found it fascinating, but didn't have time for another hobby, especially since my husband isn't too keen on it. Got my first GPSr for my 40th birthday in May, and let's just say.....even with kids and a full time job, I have found 50 so far.
  23. Thanks, that is all great advice.....not too fond of the last comment.
  24. Also, read the logs of past finders.....I can find some nice hints in there sometimes.
