I think developing an earthcache is pretty hard for the average person. I asked for help here because I didn't understand the guidelines. And even if you manage to understand what you are supposed to do, and find a suitable topic, there are still obstacles to making the page such as writing in english and the language of the location as well as coding in html.

Still trying to figure this out. Is there a certain number of logging tasks that are required? Do the logging tasks need to ask people to demonstrate knowledge, analysis, synthesis, evaluation? I don't think I understand the goal.

Well you make it sound much easier than the educator handbook I was looking through Since earth caches aren't that common I haven't done very many of these and I don't know anyone who has created one. It's good to hear your advice. Thank you!

Take a look at some recently published earthcaches. Doesn't matter where they are located, they should give a good idea of what is currently acceptable for earthcache "lessons" that need to be a part of the submission. You can do that by using the Hide & Seek page, and searching for your state, and then just Earthcaches. Did you check out the Help Center section about Earthcaches? http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=51 B. I did see that. For example it tells me I need to create a lesson but I don't know how to build a lesson? So sort of looking for something that explains how to create a lesson which was when I found the materials for teachers with an example of how to teach to Colorado state requirements. That was kind of helpful but a little hard for to figure out how to apply it in a general sense.

Thank you so much. It was a problem with the garmin communicator plug in. I downloaded the newer beta, that fixed it. whew Now we can go back to paperless caching. Our phones aren't very good for geocaching and our gps is too good to waste for a problem like this.

I am using an oregon 450t and Macbook and I can't load any caches. has anyone figured out what the problem might be? It's a long weekend and we wanted to caching! I don't get any errors at all. It acts like they are loading but nothing loads. Don't have gsak - going directly from geocaching.com
