Check out this series in the OC. http://coord.info/GC199TK It is called the bikencache trail. There are around 80 or so caches. It starts in Irvine and runs down to PCH in Newport Beach. It is a flat bike trail until you get to the back bay then you a little up hill but not bad.

I know a lot of people like the blue logger. It is about $99

This has been an issue in the past. There was no fences when the caches where placed and there is a college that is open to the public on the old base. The base is being turned into the Great Park of Irvine. So areas that use to be open to the public are now fenced off without any signage. This is being addressed with the local admin.

Watch out for that Twosontomson Guy and his brother out there. I hear they create some mean, I mean fun puzzle caches. Glad you made it safe and sound and are already caching in the new place. -Mike (South OC) I know I am not in San Diego.

I want to thank all the SD cachers. Me and a group of 13 OC cachers had a great time out there on Sat. 7-8-06. We did a lot of puzzle solving before going and had a great time searching. Only 3 DNF's for us and 49 Finds in the 95+ heat. We started at 7:00am from The Waffle House in San Clementea and left SD at 8:00pm. Thank you all for making a great day for all of us. Yeah be found a few Lamp Post hides but they it was all good. When we drove up all of us would jumped out run to the lamp post, it must of looked like a FBI raid.

Your right Sputnik 57 I forgot about the datum.

You will want to convert the coords to UTM to use with a map. Just use the UTM that is on the cache page.
