  1. Got mine here in AZ. They do look great, and I got 1 regular and 1 LE. I think I got the bonus coin because I don't recall paying for two coins! Lucky day! Thank you Mr. Fish (I just don't feel right calling you Dork)
  2. Yes, didn't you know my alter ego is Pepper. Now you can direct any and all flames to her account (Pepper and I met in Washington right before she moved to Texas - for clarification) Hehe..sorry, couldn't resist. It was the way it was worded it almost looks like you replied under a secondary account. Read it a couple times and you can probably see what I'm saying.
  3. Pepper - looking forward to seeing you again, too! ??? kealia = Pepper?
  4. The coins looks great. So, with the 3 metals, is it going to be one of those metals in the goodie bag or do we still need to buy all three for a complete set which is only completed by going to the event? We just gotta know!
  5. I've got a reservation in but no invoice yet. But then again it's not midnight either...
  6. Won't these places still have the same die fees? I can't imagine making that small a number. I remember when I made my coins the die fees I think were $99 per side. If you're going to have 10 coins made, you're looking at at $198 plus the few coins (probably only a few bucks) plus S&H. I'd guess $250 shipped? But that's just a guess. Please let us know what you find out. If you find a place that does that amount for a reasonable price I'd love to know about it. I've had coins that I wouldn't mind making just a few of for friends, family and co-workers.
  7. My thought exactly. I've got the set myself. Silver Dollar, English Penny isn't it? Or is it a 50 cent piece/English Penny? Been some time since I looked at it.
  8. At geocoins.net there are "milestone" coins (tokens if you prefer). They can be customized with the number of finds as well as you can change it to hides if you want by requesting this at the checkout time in the comments box. We have had several requests for "hides" instead of "finds". It's completely up to the cacher and what they want.
  9. As others have said, glad Bonnie will be ok. But I just HAVE to comment on the quote above. It's amazing how things change when it's to pay for vet/family bills. Try selling a Moun10bike coin. Seems with all the threads I've seen, the comment above is not the standard way of thinking. I personally agree with the comment, but there are many people out there who seem to think that even though they sold or traded their coin with someone else, it is still their coin. And Moun10bike is just the first to come to mind, I'm not singling him out, just the first in the mind syndrome. I also have several coins I have traded for where the maker (not owner) asked me not to sell them. I have decided that if I ever need/want to get rid of my coins, I will post a list here first and give first chance to the maker of the coin to request it back. Why post the list here? Well, I can't honestly tell you who all I have had that request from first off, and secondly, email addresses change. I figure this would be the best location to get the makers attention. I hope all turns out for the best for you and your family, but be aware that there are some people out there that will flame you for selling their coin, no matter what the reason
  10. Hehe...how about the longest for a package to get somewhere? We just got a package back I believe on the 7th of December, 2006. It was postmarked December 19th........2005! Had a note on it from the post master saying it was found in a supposedly empty bag. I still don't know why it was returned instead of delivered, but at least it's not lost forever.
  11. Welcome back Thanks Good to be back.
  12. I don't know how much info we can give here without breaking the rules, so I'll keep it brief. POS - The snowflakes are not coins but ornaments (we're branching out a bit). swhite7000 - International shipping is $6.00. All - Our coins are not "coins" by the standard term. Our main business is wooden tokens. The metal "coins" are anodized aluminum discs. They are not stamped metal like a "standard" coin. And we do charge setup fees for first time custom designs. FSM - I apologize ahead of time if any of that info is against the rules, please remove whatever you feel is in violation. I was only attempting to answer specific questions that have been brought up.
  13. <Content removed by moderator> Hopefully no rules have been broken by this posting as it is.
  14. No, I have not listed it yet since I am the one juggling the geocoinfest pre-registration. I wanted to get a good system in place for dividing those funds from my regular eBay funds, which I have. I still have two more wonderful coins to auction for Tanner as well So soon. Understood, I know you have been busy, just remembered hearing that you had it but didn't remember hearing anything about an auction yet. Please let us know when it goes up, I'm sure it will be well received.
  15. Not even after the contest? That doesn't seem fair! No one can win, Avroair isn't going to tell us how many coins are in there!
  16. I got #42. I think a cacher in Az got #2 and Atlanta Gal was given #1 to auction for charity. BTW AG, has that auction happened yet? I'm curious to see what it goes/went for.
  17. Yeah, it's sad I think. I was feeling the same way and figured out well, it was fun while it lasted... I think (s)he may still be hitting caches, but most of the people that collect coins and post here have already found one. But that's just my guess.
  18. Why does this have to be on the other side of the continent from me? Same reason the first couple of GeoWoodstocks were on the wrong side of the continent.
  19. What's the highest number GF coin found? Anyone got above 173?
  20. This made it to the third page, did TGF finally fall from the sky?
  21. I finally got in through the Yahoo group, what a hassle..and I already had a Yahoo ID! Voted #3...and voting here again Nothing like trying to stuff the ballot box eh? hehe AG, you should have let us know, we would have been happy to post a publicly available poll on our forums for you.
  22. Here's a link directly to his/her profile of finds. Just keep an eye on it. When a cache is found in your state, check to see if it's close to you. The Geocoin Fairy's Finds
  23. Saturday? Didn't see any then, but several last night.
  24. Very cool! (S)He's getting close to all 50 states!
  25. Hooray for XMTS! I'm glad it all worked out for you and your young ones. I would have been disappointed myself had they seen my coin and then been unable to get one for themselves. Of course, if I remember correctly, you do have two children do you not? Is the other one asking for their coin and hoping for a tooth to fall out now?
