Hi Jemma, we are not a million miles from you (near Diss) & we have done a few in your area. A couple of straight forwrd ones are just up the road from BSE Troston Twist & Merely Great Fun but one of our favourites we have ever done is Le Morte D'Edmund which is based around the cathedral its a multicache so there are a few stages to complete before the final it is worth the effort although you may wish to try the first 2 suggestions to test the water as these are fairly easy traditional (single stage) caches. Something a little more unusual can be found with A Whicker Maiden or if churches are your interest try History @ peace anyway thats a couple we ahve enjoyed but there are lots more. You may also be interested in the East Anglian Cachers Forum Good luck on your finds

Here are a couple of 10's for you Suffolk Stroll Netherd Moor Whats our Ing Weavers Way Meeting Hill Not sure if these next 2 are big enough (quantity of caches wise) Stoney Stroll although this is only a 9 stage Maham Fen Only 8 stages

Where Can I find Cachers in my area?

There are several caching groups around try this Link for some regional ones that may be what your after -
Probably because you are on the same, or only one different, time zone to Groundspeak. Those of us who are running in real time frequently get PQ's the following day. Yeah, I have had to change mine to run on Wednesday as having them run on a Thursday (like I always have) meant I didnt always get them before Saturday!! If they're regular PQs and run every week, they tend to 'drift' towards the end of the queue and you get them later and later each time they run. It pays to refresh them every so often. Create a copy, delete the original, rename the copy and re-tick the day(s) you want it to run. This will put it back at the front of the queue and you should get it early on the day of your choice. Simply un-ticking and re-ticking without creating a copy has no effect what-so-ever. Thanks for the info, I will give that a try it certainly would explain why mine have got later and later.

Another vote for Tom Tom 6 especially as you can enter coords directly into this which is great when you are given a suggested car parking spot oh and the GSAK macro

Beds Clanger has been coordinating the East Anglian Cachers Geocoin so he may be worth an e-mail (In know youve visited the forum) -
I must admit I usually use Google Earth with the Geocachingnetwork KML file (which can be downloaded from your "my Account" page although im not sure if its a PM only thing ??) It shows all the caches available in google earth which is really handy if you are trying to work out a route.

Just had to say sorry to hear this & another big thank you for all you have done or tried too -
EAC definitely includes Essex! Team PugPig are in Chipping Ongar which really isn't that far from Epping. Although we don't have any of the small things ourselves, we do have family members with short attention spans! I would recommend the Toot Hill series (two-way toots) for a nice length cache walk, and the caches themselves are really good size for TBs and full of goodies. Plus the views are lovely and if you go on weekends you may be lucky enough to catch the local steam trains... Let us know when you are in the area as we are keen to get out and meet other cachers as we only know two others and they are based in Cornwall + Australia! We wonder what the geocaching breed look like... Sorry I probably didnt word it right, EAC does include Essex in its regional area however I dont know if it has any members from Essex. hope that helps

Just to add a link for the EAC might be some in the Essex area not sure but membership keeps growing

Hope that helps

Try this, When you turn on the laptop repeatedly press th F8 button, This should take you into a menu where you can opt to start up in safe mode. Now you should see the user names to log on with, one of these will be called "Administrator" Usually this is not passworded (unless you have set one) so log on using this account and you should then be able to access window, create a new account and maybe reset your password. Its helped me out in the past

Hhmm interesting thanks for the info........ Just tried & it didn't work for me Never mind I have lived with it for a couple of years now lol

Same here on the Ipaq and I know of 3 others that all need more than one press to turn on,on occasions. Never had any trouble shutting it down though. I guess its a standard problem be nice if they fixed it though Edited to add mine has done this from new so not sure if it could be a dirty switch

Just thought it wortha mention that the Cragghoppers site has a sale on upto 70% off on some items might be worth a look
-
I go with the Cragghoppers too. Excellent trousers comfy, light & dry really quick. I also have 3 pairs 1 lined for winter 1 "normal" & 1 lightweight which are so light they way less than my shorts.
