  1. that's a bit of an overly quick conclusion. The conclusion was derived along with us finding 7 of 7 caches our first time out this past weekend and the DInc putting us within a few feet of each. The turn by turn spoken navigation while driving to the cache that accompanies it was a nice touch while out also. I have another thread in this forum section that I created before reading this thread asking for input on other GPS solutions also. Please check it out. Thanks! - Noob.
  2. I appreciate the OP. I too have a Droid Incredible and went geocaching for the first time this past weekend. It's good to know that it's GPS capabilities are inline with standalone devices. Thanks!
  3. I had my first geocaching experience ever this past Sunday. Sounded like fun, so I loaded GeoBeagle on to my Android 2.2, GPS equipped Droid Incredible, mounted the phone as a drive to the computer, and loaded the caches as .LOC files to the SD card, and then loaded the caches to GeoBeagle. I didn't want to buy anything starting out due to us not knowing if we'd enjoy it. After finding 7 of 7 caches our first day out, my wife and I are hooked. GeoBeagle seemed to work fine in conjunction with the built in Navigation app from Google that auto loaded from the program to drive us close as possible with turn by turn directions. My battery only drained to 70% while out for 3hrs with power saving techniques applied. I guess our questions, as noobies, are as follows: How would the geocaching experience differ for us if we purchased a standalone GPS such as a Oregon 450 compared to GeoBeagle? Has anyone had experience with the paid Geocaching.com app versus the free GeoBeagle - both available from the Android Market and what are the significant differences? I appreciate the feedback / experiences ahead of time. Thanks!
