Maximize the efficiency of managing your caches with this proposed Query Function. Like most of you cachers out there I manage my caches using the full version of Swiss Army Knife (GSAK). The majority of cachers deal with personal Dbases of 2000 or more caches related to their “CACHING” area. My suggestion would help in the management of those thousands of caches. My suggestion revolves around the function of being able to identify “which cache was removed from the main Dbase, of Groundspeak, since the last time I updated my caches. For example; we have a total of 2300 caches in our area, which I have queried and loaded to my GSAK. Yesterday I was on the site looking for new ones in our area, and the number of caches had fallen to 2295. I do I reflect this number to my personal Dbase (GSAK)… First I check through the 125 Temporary Disabled Caches to see if the removed caches came from this section… and of course they didn’t SO I had to check through my entire Dbase to find the five that where removed.
Would It be possible for Groudspeak to have a function to build a query which can identify which caches where removed (archived) form the Dbase, based on date and location>
I’m sure that this type of query would facilitate the management of many cacher’s personal data bases, and would allow us to spend more time on the trails than in front of our puters
