Had/have my GPS V for 3 years w/o a hitch - one of the best investments I've ever made, next to my 60c which I've had about a year now guess - GRAMIN = superb in the support dept.

Just my opinion folks - What do you all think.... ? If you're going to list something here, Why not do so BEFORE you list it on e-bay??? If you're gonna oppose this, ANSWER THE ABOVE ITALIC Question I just saw someone selling a 60cx CLICK HERE and they said it would go to ebay if not picked up here - now thats cool cause we members get 1st dibs on it... But there are other people who list their item on e-bay & then list it here, asking us to join the price war & drum up their final sale. And yea, before anyone says anything, I know its a free country & if you don't like it, don't bid. All I'm saying is that: It's the uncommon, unwritten rules of courtesy that make places (be they online forums or coffe shops) A more pleasent & trustful environment & in the process of being - this encourages the same. In other words, it [NO DOUBT] perpetuates honesty. Again, this isn't a invitation to debate - just an observation of fact because I see people doing both, giving members 1st shot and using the forum as an advertising venue for a ebay listing. * edited to include example listing

Just my opinion here - I tried many "universal" auto mounts for my 60c ...... I finally got a non-garmin but GPS60c specific mount & have never looked back. Believe me, its worth every penny of the 18 - 21 bucks I paid for it. Just do a google search for your GPS unit "+AUTO MOUNT", compare prices & buy it.

On a side note; my mother-in law is staying with us after a bad leg break... if my family was half as helpful as my members here, I'd be in heaven - so NEVER think such help / response(s) are taken for granted

Hi all - I don't remember, is this possible? -I want to overlay tracks on a clear image- I just made the jump from MAC to PC after years - and a whole other world is available to me! I could prorbably search the threads but I know simplier solutions are found every day - someone may be able to give me a simple walkthru & save me the time of scanning older threads. I have a 60c - Google earth, City Select 7 and en route - Gimme a hand people! (not clapping) Thanx in advance!

Red90: Thanks man - right on target! ossumguywill: YES, you can save a track log to your computer - I can't vouch for units / software other than Garmin tho - sorry Trucker Lee: Of course - saftey being the 1st priority - This [enroute] is ideal for the passenger navigator while "en-route" to a cache or other destination! Its a beautiful thing!

Hello all - Recently made the jump to PC [Mac user] & was wondering if its possible to track - (watch) my movements via my Laptop while driving - ?? In other words; having my unit connected to my laptop, & being able to WATCH my movements on the [laptop] screen as I drive - 60c City Select V7 As always; thanx in advance!

This will serve to commend Garmin for their superior customer service. Long story short = I finally made the jump after 15 years from Mac to PC, due in part to my GPS usage. Yeah I know, its promised for OSX soon but it'll be buggy & I haven't the time or patience - life's too short. Anyway, I had ver CS 5 and was able to acquire a free upgrade to ver 7, which I had installed on a dinosour pc for geocaching purposes but had CD only, no DVD - hence, no update to 7 Well I just picked up a sweet dual processor Laptop but was unable to log into my account on the Garmin site for my Unlocks on my two units and also unable to install 5 in order to upgrade to 7 Garmin has a new membership thing, you have to register again!!!! Frantic, I called Garmin and held for 1/2 hour after which a rep took care of everything for me remotely - they even waited 20 minutes so I could acquire a good wireless connection! They installed 5, upgraded to 7, unlocked all maps & unlocked CitySelect program for both GPS units! It took over 90 minutes! I will never buy anything but Garmin - unsurpassed service is what its all about!

Yep, did that - got the driving directions but prefer to GPS it - this will be too stressful a day (State Exam) to have to be looking for exits, ramps, streetsigns, etc. User hacksaw_sportster got me the coords on the GPS UNITS & SOFTWARE section!!!! , I think I'm good! Thanks for the help Alabama

I have a 60c as well - and I too notice this occasional difference. In my experience, it is based on your frequent searches - that which determines the screen you get. Maybe it is "intuitive" programming - that is, the software "remembers" your last behavior & presents your choice accordingly - I have other programs which do this - Also - if you hit FIND twice, you WILL be presented with your last 50 finds - be they waypoints OR searches. just a guess -

Yes, I remember & used to use that feature. I did question [here] about that feature NOT being available in my 60c?? That is an excellent intuitive feature that would NO DOUBT be useful!
