  2. I think it is a good idea. Now if people would just return the caches that they took along with the TBs. LOL!
  3. http://wayhoo.com/index/a/gpsbabel/ you can even use an "online" version, for if you are on vacation,a nd don't have your computer with you and you may be at a library or other public internet access. this is the first one I found that I was able (without a great deal of difficulty) to have my tracks show up in Microsoft(crap) Streats and Trips! I second the Love for gpsbabel!
  4. Thanks for the info! "Juice", are you refering to my typing? Some typing days are better than others.

  6. I have been to two events (one I helped host) and my wife has hosted two and been to a third. I think we have met most of Central illinois / surrounding region. We even ran into geo-cachers in arcadia national park.... They saw our gps and asked us "which one are you doing?"
  7. Meeting CYBret is overrated. Bret Um, overrated...... Well if you have ever seen him eat a butter burger form Culvers, then you may be more entertained. Eric M (turbo-S) form Team honu
  8. ;(On our 2nd day GeoCaching, we had been searching all over for a missing cache. My 4 yr old was playing with a long stick. As I bent down to look, he raised the stick in the air and hit my open eye. I screamed and cried for a long time. Thought that I was going to go blind, but my eye healed. The first month or so was very uncomfortable. This week marks 1 year of caching, and I still have troubles with my eye when I wake up. If I open it too quickly it is very painful. Almost gave up the sport, but 1 year later we are still going strong. Our boys are no longer allowed to play with sticks when we cache! ~SassyCache of Team HONU
  9. We are unlisted...but that doesn't seem to stop Bronzback or CYBret! LOL!!!
  10. Yea! Sassycache (my wife, by the way) wrote the article on hosting an event! We (or she) are famous!!!! anyway, between that, and the two newspaper articles, we a "local" celebs in Central Illinois! Thanks for the great web site!! (the today's cacher one) Eric M
  11. Well, the area code is the same as your area code (217), the other numbers I will but in "pathagarus would be proud" find it, then you can call us. Although, *most* of the calls are for Pathagarus....
  12. I know Cybret, And he is *somewhat* famous, at least in Illinois, And read This Month's "today's Cacher" and see the article written by my wife (sassycache) so I guess now she is famous too........ Or not. I *heard* that madana Geocaches...... OK I made that up. Eric M (Turbo-S) of Team Honu (it's a sea turtle, oh just go look it up...)
  13. We keep a travel bug, we stick it in, then pull it out of every cache. then we have a record of each cache we visited! http://www.geocaching.com/map/bugtrack.asp?tid=65092
  14. So, does this happen to anyone else? *cell phone rings* ME: Hello? Them: So if I were near a tree at XXX Geocache, would I look up or down? Me: what? Them: this cache, is it IN THE TREE or just NEAR THE TREE? Me: Look down *click* So I guess the more geocachers you get to know, then them more likely it is. anyone else? Eric M (Turbo-S) of Team Honu
