  1. The T:UK page for Mumbles Hill is http://trigpointing.uk/trig/4982 which shows an OS grid reference of SS 62408 87568. This grid reference should be accurate to the nearest 1m. A grid reference of SS 624 875 is only accurate to 100m. If you give a 6 digit grid reference to MagicMapIt! then it will use a 10 digit grid reference of SS 62450 87550 as the position to display the arrow. Passing the full 10 digit grid reference to MagicMapIt! gives the following link http://benchmarks.or...?c=SS6240887568 . You should see the arrow pointing very close (within 2m) to the centre of the trig point. Similarly taking the full 10 digit grid references from the T:UK pages http://trigpointing.uk/trig/5013 and http://trigpointing.uk/trig/1873 gives MagicMapIt! links of http://benchmarks.or...?c=SS7607591541 and http://benchmarks.or...?c=SS1424495949 . In both cases the arrow is pointing very close to the centre of the trig points. I've tried using the measuring tool on the Magic map and it does appear to become more and more inaccurate the further west or east you go from the 2 degrees west longitude line. I would therefore say that Magic maps are accurate for positioning but can't be relied on for distance measurements in certain locations. Hope this helps.
  2. Thanks for letting me know. My web hosting provider has now fixed the problem and it should all be working again .
  3. As promised I've updated the script so this is now less likely to occur. Give it another go and let me know if it helps. If it's still a problem I'll give you a full refund .
  4. I can see how clicking the 'x' by mistake can be slightly annoying. You can restore the ignored topic by selecting the 'Show Ignored Topics' option in the drop down menu next to your username at the top right of the page. Then you can click on the 'x' next to the accidentally ignored topic to un-ignore it. Now select the 'Hide Ignored Topics' option in the drop down menu next to your username to rehide your ignored topics. I'll improve the spacing between the 'x' and the 'Go to first unread post' icon so that it'll be less likely for an accidental click to occur.
  5. The 'favourites' option is still available but I've called it 'Highlight'. To highlight a topic click on the icon in the first column (the icon will be one of the icons listed in the Forum Legend section at the bottom of the page) and the row will change to a light green colour. When that topic has a new unread post the row will be changed to a bright green.
  6. I've been missing the useful Geocaching Forum Tools script that used to work on the old forums. As there didn't appear to be an update in sight I decided to bite the bullet and make the required changes myself. The new script is based heavily on the original script by LordElph and rutson. The bulk of the original functionality has been kept, namely the Ignore Topic facility and Highlight Topic facility (this was previously called Watch Topic) and I've added some minor usability enhancements. The script is called Geo Forum Tidy and can be downloaded from here. Let me know if you find any problems. Gary
  7. I've just knocked up a page on my website that will allow you to do this. You can try it out here: Magic MapIt!.
  8. I've updated my Geothumbs script to work with the latest site changes. I've also added an automatic script update checker so the script will notify you of future updates (many thanks to Lil Devil for the code). The new version can be downloaded from here.
  9. I've noticed this on one of our caches pages too. I've had a look to see what the problem is and it turns out there's a bug in the cache page javascript. The cache has a waypoint with a name containing an apostrophe and it's that that's stopping the map from showing. The cache in question is http://coord.info/GC142CP . The problem lies with the cmapAdditionalWaypoints.push() call.
  10. No problem. I've added the option use either cross log image navigation or current log only image navigation. The default is cross log navigation as that's my preferred setting . Version 4.1 can download from here. Gary
  11. I've fixed geothumbs to work with the new site changes. The new version can be downloaded from here. Please let me know if you find any problems. Gary

  15. I had the same problem too. It looked like it was working because clicking on the cross would remove the topic from view but a later restart of Firefox would re-show the ignored topic. After a bit of debugging I changed the script so it now works for me with XP and Firefox 3.5.6 running Greasemonkey 0.8.20091209.4. I mentioned the problem to LordElph a few days ago so he could incorporate the change into his official version. In the meantime if you want to try my version click here.
  16. Hi Josh, If you use Firefox or Opera you can achieve this on the cache page (not the gallery) by installing my Geothumbs script and Locus Prime's Show All Logs script. With both these installed you'll be able to view all the cache page images (including owner images) in a continuous stream in Lightbox. For more details please take a look at my Geothumbs page. Gary
  17. I originally didn't add the descriptions because I thought it would look a bit messy. However now I've updated the script to show them I've found it doesn't actually look that bad! Many thanks to martlakes for the request and testing the changes. The new version (2.5) can be downloaded from here. Gary
  18. Two years later .... I've just released Version 2 of my Geothumbs script. It now includes the cache owner images as you requested all that time ago! In addition to working in Firefox it now also works in Opera. Full details of the changes and the download link can be found here. Here's an example of the changes the script makes: Normal cache owner image section: Cache owner image section with thumbnails: Normal log: Log with thumbnails: Gary
  19. We can recommend Anstey's Cove, My Favourite Beach and Batteries Not Included. The first two have good sized boxes.
  20. Thanks for pointing that out. It should work correctly now! Gary
  21. Sorry the plugin didn't help you out . The odd thing is that it works fine for me! I had been playing around with the plugin settings and currently have them all switched off which might explain the difference. You could also try this and see if helps. Gary
  22. It's not just Eudora as I also get compressed emails on my iPaq 2210 PDA. I've looked back at some old watchlist emails and the problems started when the emails were sent using just a single LF character to terminate a line. Prior to that CR LF was used. I downloaded the Windows version of Eudora 7.1.0.9 to try it out and also found that the emails were compressed. However if you install this plugin from here any new watchlists you receive will be nicely formatted . Gary
  23. Glad you like the script . I did look at converting the cache setter images but there's a problem. Since the recent gc.com changes there's now no thumbnail image available for a cache setter image. You can see this if you look at a cache page gallery where you'll see that all cache setter images are full size and have not been thumbnailed. If anyone can find a page on gc.com that shows a thumbnail image of a cache setter image then let me know because I'd like the script to show these too! Gary
