  1. Thanks. However if the finder declines to do that ( by the way the finder has actually had it in their possession the whole time - just not done anything with it) is it not possible for the owner to do that with a grab?
  2. I have a few coins I have marked missing. Now two of them have turned up after a number of years. I cannot see how to mark them as not missing. Peter
  3. Only just discovered that the old classic app has been discontinued . This new one is far worse and a retrograde step. It is useless to me as I need to be able to download the maps for geocaches in the areas I visit as I cannot get internet access or it would cost me fortune to do so. Extremely disappointed with this new app.
  4. Tricky, it's 10500 miles away :-) Peter Not really, you wait until they place it, you grab it, log it into your oops cache with a 'visit' or full 'drop & retrieve', then log it back into the cache it is currently sitting in. If you want, mention in the logs you are correcting mileage. USE THE PROPER DATES. Once they log it dropped, you have to move quickly so that it won't get picked up while you are working your magic. ETA: the bolded/underlined is important. Thanks - all done - really useful tip. Peter
  5. all, I have problem. I dropped off one of my geocoins in a cache in Australia when I was on holiday there in April. I logged the find but totally forgot to log dropping the coin. Someone picked it up a few days later and moved it on. Now I do not see any way of going back and showing I dropped it at that Cahce as it is no longer in my coin list to drop. Any ideas if that is possible ? Peter
  6. Hi all, not sure where the best place to post this is but I am starting here. Any advice on where else to post appreaciated. On a weekend trip to Paris our Geocache bag was pickpocketed ( stolen ) from my wife's backpack on saturday 11th April 2011. ( I think they thought they had got her purse , so would have been disapointed with a few geocoins ) I thought I would post the items I have marked as missing here just to let people know. Name followed by tracking No. Celtic Peacock Geocoin Olly the Orca Travel Tag United Kingdom Flag Micro Geocoin United Kingdom Flag Tag I am pleased we only took a few with us but there were some other small items in the bag as well. A scottish Nessie badge and a couple of other small badges. Peter
  7. Thanks for the update. I will look forward to getting some of those coins Peter
  8. No doubt the Olympic People would be miffed if anyone used their symbols but there must be people out there planning some London 2012 Olympic Geocoins. Anyone got plans ? Peter
