  1. Bet you have AOL don't ya??? Look at "settings" and go from there. You'll have to clear a lot of useless files.
  2. Yup - got 4 to upload. Just gotta find the time. ... like now instead of reading the forums.
  3. There are 2 - 3 people down that way, prolly more, you should contact. Googling Hprty Hrrs, Chance Encounter, Clueless and Clumsey, The Deacon and family. Enjoy!
  4. Did you say something??? Numbers really don't have a lot to do with me going one way or another. I have a GPS'r and I know how to use it!
  5. Okay, now we're flaming used car salesmen. Next it'll be lawyers, politicians and district managers of food chain resturants. Wait. We just flamed food chain district managers. ... Flame thrower off.
  6. Snoog, Sorry about that. I'm not about 'enabling' someone just 'cuz' they do it all of the time. Besides, I've looked at her 'numba's' and GHH and myself both have more finds. Her opinion doesn't matta! She doesn't have the data to support an authoritive theory in this matter.
  7. So are you saying, "In God we trust. In all else, show me data? (Demming)" - This applies to work and stats, not a game or to apply to a personality or character. To say that nothing else matters except the bridge stands or falls??? It was just an opinion. Nothing else. You work WITH engineers. You aren't one. ... I don't know you. Based on your comments, do you want me or anyone else to make a judgement and maybe label you? ... You didn't agree with GHH. So what? You "don't believe" him, so you bring to bare his character, become confrontational??? On Line? Nice. On Topic: If I lived in say, Dallas. I could amass 300 finds in a month or less. I live in a rural area and it's taken me 7 months to reach that number. So, my opinions, expertise or creditability doesn't mean a thing unless I get 3x that much in the same amount of time? That makes me less than a cacher who has been caching the same amount of time with more finds cuz they live in target rich environment and I don't? - based on the numbers.
  8. See, if someone looked me in the eye and said they don't believe something I said, I might assume they were calling me a liar, and be offended. GHH, Is someone (else) questioning your character again??? To Aunt Weasel, GHH is a honorable guy. (YM doesn't trust him - ) ... I do think the questioning of a man/ladies character on an observation they made is a little out of line. Maybe it's just me. Maybe not. But unless they have done something to you or about you, why question what his opinions and observations are? Why not give them the benefit of a doubt? But if you have those impressions of GHH and you don't think he has creditability, so be it. Back On Topic: I honestly don't look at the numbers of another or base their opinions on the numbers. I do like being competitive with some locals here. I use them as my next goal. I want to see who's just ahead of me and then go get them. My game - my way. But I don't look down on anyone when they are below my numbers. I don't make fun of them or ignore them. Circumstances may prevent some from caching as much as they want to. Things like family, work, church activities get in the way. ... Here in East Texas, we don't have a target rich environment nor are there that many cachers in comparison to a metro area. Does that make us less a cacher v. the rest of the GC world? I don't think so.
  9. GHH, have you thought about a CiTO on "Shirley Mason's Cache" site??? Mano, if you want to set up an event, I'm game.
  10. Sound Bites: From Back to the Future: "Rules? Where we're going, we don't need ... rules." From Blazing Saddles: "Rules? We don't need no steekin' RULES!!!" I might have been speeding on the way to a cache. You wanna delete my log??? I didn't completely stop at the stop sign either. Gonna delete my log? I jay walked across the street to get here, gonna delete that log too? ... I don't think Homeland Security needs to be brought in cuz someone snuck into a park after hours nor do I think the rules need amending (PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!!). I think GC has enough to do without policing the local laws.
  11. As long as aomeone in that group doesn't respond that another did not participate, then I'd let it go. Events are setup in this same manner. A lot of teams are formed in the games that are played and everyone gets a Smilie at the end of the day. Granted, the host/owner(s) are there to see everyone and most haev "logs" to sign in at the event, but it's one cache and a lot of people get their Smiles on from it. ... now, someone cut the limb off behind me.
  12. I'll keep that in mind the next time YM is throwing down about you!!!
  13. You've done all the work. You rec'd no help from the owner or anything else for that matter. Go get the TB's and log it as a find. Get your smiles on .
  14. Everyone submit a regular sized cache located at airports, rail stations, under bridges and school grounds - all in one day? Yeah, that'll turn someone postal.
  15. I've never thought of it being that deep for a comparison. The books I read have lots of pictures. Some aren't even colored in yet.
  16. I would like to see the site use object-based incremental emulation combined with a polarised exuding toolset enforcing a mandatory modular contingency, while at the same time utilizing cross-group real-time methodology. But that's probably just me. I was thinking the very same thing.
  17. I wish I had a buck for every DNF log for one of my caches where the person was confident it was missing, and was wrong. It would buy me a nice dinner out. Try collecting 'Where's george Dollars'!
  18. Much like yours. I've started hiding some around. Some are micro's. Some are not. I have to drive 40-100 miles to get any kind of numbers anymore. There are plenty of cool sites for caches within 20 miles of here but we don't have many cachers. I could start planting caches then someone would be on here complaining I was taking all the cool sites. No win. I think it does slow down some of the TB's that get stranded around here. I dont' want to start raiding caches for Tb's but if I'm heading to another town/area, I might do it just to get them moving again.
  19. The owner should be responsible for their own cache, not us. If they move out of the area, they should give it up to adoption or archieve the cache after picking it up. If the owner isn't maintaining the cache and it's missing, it should be archieved with the logging system already in place. Once it is archieved, go ahead and place your cache in it's place. ... The perfect world. To replace the cache just to get your smiles on, why even bother throwing one out there? Just log it as a Find. If the owner gives you permission to replace the cache, they should go ahead and let you adopt it. You're the cacher maintaining it. Just MHO.
  20. You can edit the log yourself if you own the cache. ... maybe add something to caution others but take out the sky is falling thing. This may be too cautious but maybe you can contact the local authorities and inquire to activity in the area of the cache.
