A 'find' is something you log personally. If you didn't log it, no claim to fame. You asked.

How Many States Have You Cached In
Yamahammer replied to MikeandRenn's topic in General geocaching topics
LA, OK, AR, MS, AL, GA, TN and TEXAS!!! "New York, London, Paris, Munich. Talk about, Pop Muzic. Talk about Pop Muzic" ... sorry, 80's flashback! -
2WATT, are you wanting to play '5 Card STUD' with Mr. 3??? Let's see here. He chose caching over 'playing cards'??? I would choose cards over caching, without question. I think most men would. It's a MAN thing. ... but to go caching instead of 'playing cards'??? I dunno. Doesn't sound right.

Errrrr, hmmmm, uhhhhh, ... How to answer this on a PG site???
-
Running? With a GPS'r? Is that like running with scissors?
-
I dunno about that GHH. Per YM, it seems some of our DNF's on your caches could have been buried ... or should be buried!!!

Blue, Are you upset, and it's apparent you are, that they didn't see the sign; or ignored; or that you didn't get the FTF? Are you sure they deliberately broke the law? You've got to be sure as in holding the light and being there, before you make accusations. ... I'm just saying, be careful.

Caches Stuffed With Religious Propaganda...
Yamahammer replied to Stearmandriver's topic in General geocaching topics
You don't like the stuff in a cache, don't trade. This goes for religious items or any other item. Just ignore it. -
What Annoys You About The Forums?
Yamahammer replied to Googling Hrpty Hrrs's topic in General geocaching topics
That reviewers/mods/approvers never give an opinion but answer by the book. Surely you guys have a opinion. (and don't call me Shirley! - old but good). You don't have to be yesmen/ladies all of the time do you? -
I have lost about 140 pounds over the past 2 years. I have been geo-caching almost a year. Yamahammer and I have hiked many miles since beginning. I don't think I could have cached at the size I was 2 years ago. Still caching, still dropping weight. Yamamomma

I've had this happen. Use the coordinates of the nearest cache and see if it doesn't pop a few benchmarks.

Usually, I extend my hand and greet whomever. It hasn't happened to me but if they decided to exit the area, it wouldn't bother me. Everyone plays this thing like they want. Their game, their way.
-
Mano, you should just let it lie. You don't want to be known as a Narc-Cacher.

I lost a cache to muggles cuz a cacher wasn't careful. He went and did the cache anyways with the muggles close and it was picked up. ... Now, if muggles are present, I respect the cache owner and I don't seek it out. I'll either make another attempt some other day or I won't. ... even if it is a FTF, I've left them.

Looking For A Good 100 Cache
Yamahammer replied to Team Dragon Racing's topic in South and Southeast
Did you say "Good" cache??? My last name is Good. I have 19 caches in Texas. -
Congrats! Once you reach a mark, you want to get onto the next. Get on trekin'!

It's up to me as a cacher/adult to make up my own mind of what I hunt. I've walked away from a few. My decision. I didn't report it cuz the next guy/girl might not consider it dangerous but more adventurous. If you have concerns, express them to the owner. They own the cache. I would not contact the local authorities over it. I would not contact GC either. ... Leave it be and move on.

I agree! All those annoying signs we see as we enter parks that read: NO ALCOHOL NO COOKING NO 4 WHEELERS NO SKATEBOARDING NO METAL DETECTORS ETC... I BELIEVE YOU WILL SOON SEE NO GEOCACHING 'Don't believe this one either. ... Every time this topic comes up, under some other heading, there are the naysayers, "GC is dying" for this reason or that. And then I look at the number of caches listed on here and wonder what all the commotion is about. I don't see a decrease in the number of caches being placed within the org. There is prolly some official stats within GC that studies trends that we don't have administrative approval to look at. I'm not betting guy but I bet it isn't near as bad as declared every 2-3 weeks on the forums.

Okay, say it's true. Wal-Mart Security now has gone high-tech, camera's, satellite imagery, stakeouts, spooks, whatever - Their onto us. And caching is prohibited in those parking lots. Move on. Aside: If you don't like their reaction and wanna show your displeasure, don't buy from them. Don't shop there.

Nope.

Only you and Shondra would have this kind of experience GHH!!! ... well, not really. I had the same happen to me sorta, chasing your Cementary Series. I came across 2 pups while driving to the last stage. They were still on the side of the road when I came out. I stopped to give them all of the dog treats I had. I was driving away and one of them was chasing me down the road. I stopped. Backed up. Picked them up after they ate and dropped them off at the animal shelter in Henderson (the one located across from 2 other caches of yours in the park). It was difficult but I have 2 already and there was no way it was gonna work at the homestead if I walked in with 2 more pups. ... It'll work out.
