  1. Thanks great info I am thinking of getting this today as it is on a deal. http://amzn.com/B00407237W Garmin nüvi 2350LMT I am hoping it will work the same as you have set up there.
  2. I have used a Garmin NUVI 360 for over a year now and have found over 600 geocaches with it. Takes a little bit to load, using GSAK and macros and POIloader. using this website helps http://geocaching.totaltechworld.com/ I am looking for a GPS to give to my father who is 80 this year. Needs a big screen and easy controls. Any thoughts? He would like a car one so he can use it for traveling too.
  3. Hello, hope it is not too late to ask a question about this. I am thinking of getting my father (turning 80!) for his birthday the GARMIN NUVI 1350LMT. Can you explain to me how he can use it for geocaching? Is it pretty easy to add caches? or queries? also does it handle paperless geocaching? I use an old nuvi 360 and have to do a few things like use a macro through GSAK and POIloader to use it for geocaching but it works. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
  4. Any suggestions? I am looking for a simple to use, inexpensive GPS for my 80 year old father. I introduced him to geocaching last year and he really enjoys it. But he is not tech minded at all. He would like me to get him an inexpensive but very simple to use and simple to add geocaches into. He is not and probably won't become a premium member so won't do pocket queries but probably just look at an area and add a number of caches as he goes. Thank you in advance!
  5. My dad just bought one too at Canadian Tire. I don't know if you can use it for geocaching or not. Has anyone tried it yet? I do have a Garmin NUVI and it works fine for geocaching and for driving. takes a bit of work to get caches in but I got it to work. any other thoughts?
  6. I have an old Garmin GPS that has the lifetime Navteq traffic on it. Does anyone know if there is a way of transferring it to my new Garmin device? Thanks
  7. I just got a Magellan Maestro 4350. Does anyone know if there is a way to use it for geocaching? I have a Garmin Nuvi that I have used before for paperless geocaching and it worked fine. Is there such a way to do the same with a Magellan? Thank you
  8. I have a similar but maybe slightly different issue. I did try the remove and check for dups macro and it found none. In GSAK it says I have 142 finds.(yellow) 5 of the are archived(red) but in my geocaching online profile I have 138 finds. I think what has happened is I made a few mistakes in my logs and deleted them online and then logged it in again as a find. Maybe GSAK is finding the archived finds and marking them as double finds? any macros out there to fix this one? Thanks!
