  1. In Calica, you can easily find the virtual cache called The Mayan Ruins of Tulum if you go on that excursion and in Cozumel, I found "Token for Ixchel" Friday. If you go for that one, say "HI" to Tony! That cache is an easy walkup and the coords are dead on. It's a great out of the way place just a block off the main street. I dropped in a TB called "High Tech Metals: Tungsten" in there...if it's still there, grab it and check out how heavy such a small piece of metal is! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...25-11247af46d76 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...0d-dea52e1aa688 Wow, dunno why that double posted on edit....oh well...

  3. I don't want the arrow to point toward the cache, I want the arrow to point the direction I'm walking. The dashed line from the arrow to the cache does the pointing toward the cache when I click go to. I think you're referring to the compass arrow itself. The arrow I'm talking about is the one on the map screen.
  4. I just bought a GPSMAP 60CSx and I can't get the little triangle arrow (on the map page) to work the way it did on my ETREX Legend. On the Legend, the arrow pointed the direction I was walking, and it made it easy to tell of I needed to turn right or left as I approached the cache location. The arrow on the 60CSx just points in some random direction not related to the direction I'm walking or the direction of the cache. I can't find anything in the manual about this, and I've fiddled with as many settings as I could that I thought may have an effect. Any ideas on how to correct this? Thanx in advance!!
  5. Then get GSAK! It's by far the best Palm caching program EVER!! www.gsak.net
  6. One of the cachers that this thread is referencing is kind of a friend of mine and got into geocaching because of me. I haven't known him very long (3 or so months), so I can't really say what kind of person he is (whether he has "thick skin" or what) but he DOES seem to be the kind of person that would let something little bother him greatly. I have found all of his hides before they were archived and as someone that has found over 550 caches, I can say they were NOT "lame". Granted, they weren't the most imaginative or the most difficult, but his diff/terrain levels on his cache pages, IMHO, were right on the money and they were in neat locations. A new cacher won't be expected to place advanced caches right off. I look at it that if someone gets irate at something this easily (providing that the emails weren't as bad as all that), they're better off not participating.
  7. I need someone up that way to help me out in this cache (GC3513), If you are near the coordinates of W66º66.74 (That's through appears to be near the cities of Fredricton, Blacks Harbour, St. George, Green Bay, Oromocto, etc.), take a look at cache page and read how it works. If you can take a picture of your GPS reading those W coords (the N coords don't matter), we'll both get credit for the cache!! You can find my email address by clicking on my name to the left and looking in my profile. Thanx in advance!
  8. Ok, thanx!! It's not a big deal, but I'd like to see how far the critter goes. Also, what's the integrated map? Are they planning on updating the map?
  9. "TPTB"? I'm sure you mean someone that works at geocaching.com, but I can't find an email address on the travelbug page. Am I looking right at it but not seeing it or is that address on another page? Thanx!
  10. I have a TB (http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=19303) that the milage is waaaayy too high for where it's travelled. How can I fix the milage to be more accurate?
