Hello guys, I have placed a few caches in Kuwait but as we all know summer if off season here for caching. I am hoping to get more caches out when the weather cools down for us non-military cachers. I know that there are alot of troops in Kuwait but putting nearly all the caches off limits of regular folks really gets on my wick. I have aruged my case and it seems there is no way around the issue. However, if more people start placing caches we will all have more to find I have a series of quite a few micros planned, would people perfer these set out as a multi with a large cache at the end or ans individuals? I have also managed to finish my large cache which will be put out as soon as the weather cools down a bit. Maybe the regulars in Kuwait could have a group? welsh_gal_q8

My family think I'm a bit loopy looking for boxes of 'treasure' and well.....most of my friends do to. I have managed to drag a few out with me but they just giggle whenever I mention it now.

I went to find a cache with my mum once. It was supposed to be behind a wall along the road. Of course I immediately jumped behind the wall to grab what I 'thought' was the cache. The 'cache turned out to be a used nappy and then I found my self stranded behind the wall. Jumping around looking like a right dork with my mum almost wetting herself did not help. She had to grab and yank me over! Covered in bloody cuts an scratches Dont know what I would have done if she wasn't with me though

Regular nuvis do have an off road setting, in the settings menu you can select fastest time, shortest distance or off road as the route setup

I have a nuvi 760 and I tried to use it for geocaching but thought that little arrow in the corner was annoying and went back to my legend. Is there another screen I dont know about or are you using the little arrow in offroad mode?

I love my nuvi 760. So easy to use and hands free calling. Goes through the radio too

Can't a cacher ask a question without being jumped on and grilled? Yikes! Amen! Second that Amen! I wasn't going to say anything but I thought it was a bit harsh considering it was my first post ever on the forums

Never had the opportunity to go to one yet! Planning next year's summer hols and trying to get some events in along the way Most of the ones that have been around me in the past have been on military bases

Thanks for the reply I have never been to an event and haven't managed to find any protocol for them either. I had no idea they had a log book. Also I don't remember saying I thought anyone had cheated, only interested in how they work

Can someone please explain this to me Event cache - How do you prove that you were at an event? Say there was an event near me and I turned up what would I have to do? What about mega events with over 500 people? I'm interested to know how you log yourself as being there and what procedures are in place to stop cheaters I know there is an answer to this but I just cant seem to find it!
