Skype add requested

That can be arranged. perhaps it could be a FIRST for gc.com as well. I suggest you go ahead and get the details. I am in from Qatar's point of view. perhaps we should contact mfares in Saudi, not sure of the Bahraini guys - there are a few active cachers there - CamelMaster in Oman and somebody in Kuwait then we have the GCC covered. All Events can be co-ordinated in teh different countries to take place at the same time. Most of our coffe shops have WiFi so Skype could work well. ooh I would really be interested in a video link! It's unlikely that I'll be able to get to it so that would work out great! A first for geocaching too!

I would love for somebody to make me an avatar. I just haven't got a very good imagination when it comes to logos and things........ the best thing I could think of was a Q8 logo with a welsh flag superimposed into it..... Just in case you were wondering, I'm Welsh, I'm female and I am currently living in Kuwait welsh_gal_q8 -
Minimum number of caches placed before finding?
welsh_gal replied to Renegade Knight's topic in General geocaching topics
You can use your own judgement by how many caches that person has hidden in the past by looking at their profile......and how log they have been a member for. That seems to be a pretty good way of judging cache quality. However if you did find a cache that was a bit pathetic, giving that member a few hints and tips would help them in the future -

People who don't bother to log finds on the website
welsh_gal replied to tonibunny's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
What about the people who just enjoy placing caches for others to find? Would not posting your find online rob them of the excitement of someone new finding their cache? -
Why do people suddenly stop caching?
welsh_gal replied to Fuchsiamagic's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I love geocaching but I haven't been able to get out since the beginning of the year. It is a combination of work, starting a degree, stress, busy schedule and bloody hot weather. Now that things have calmed down I can't wait to get out once it cools down and this awful humidity we are having at the mo has gone! 94% the day before yesterday -
I think it is going to take me along time to break the 50 mark never mind the 100! Well I suppose there's no rush is there

Why would you think twice about going off a base in Kuwait? It is one of the safes places in the world. At lot more secure than the US or UK. I feel safer walking around the streets here than I do in my home town in Wales! Even as a woman, walking around on her own, I wouldn't get bothered here. However I would not feel safe walking around a base with a GPSr in my hand........that looks suspect to me.

Emailed my entry......woo I'm going to get addicted to checking the leader board now! -
Hi cincol Nice to hear that you have managed to get so many caches active It is such a pain that there is so many on military bases that we can't get to isn't it! You would think that having an unidentified box or item on a base would be a huge security risk!!!!!!!!!!!! Never mind hey, we will have to do what we can

welsh_gal replied to lil'hobo's topic in General geocaching topics
Mine is quite simple I'm welsh......I'm female......and I was/still am living in Kuwait when I created my account. Also when I am caching in the UK I leave a Kuwaiti 250 fil note as a signature item -

Birdie's Cache Setting Challange
welsh_gal replied to Birdman-of-liskatraz's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
A bit funny how a cache containing tenners goes missing just as a group of steak and kidney lock openers moves in just by........ sorry couldn't resist that after watching the last episode of top gear
