Three veeeery nice coins arrived in the last few weeks:
-
These are my tigers:
-
Knowing the background of this coin, this is possibly the best news in my whole experience with geocoins! *applause*
-
Very appealing and unique design, congratulations! And good luck with the event.
-
Yes, I believe there are six of them. And I believe I have got all. I'll try to make a photo for you this weekend. These are the ones I've got: copper/orange/green satin gold/orange gold/white/red satin nickel/orange black nickel/orange gold/rainbow glitter (AE) Though, if you check my post earlier in this thread (http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=262375&view=findpost&p=4835825), you will see an image where the satin nickel/orange colour combination seems to exist with a different plating. Might be a sample, though.
-
From all the research I have done, it seems that you have all eight there. I'm hoping that the AE version will soon be in my mailbox, after that I'm only missing the satin gold/white/purple. I was lucky to be able to trade for the rare satin gold/white/red one!
-
I have been researching this myself, and I think there are only four. I know that I have seen pictures of them all, but today I can only find three of them on Google image search. Personally I still miss both the LE and the XLE, but I have a spare of the BN/purple one, I think. What about you, are you also searching?
-
Oooooh! You got all those 9 carousel coins in the mailbox? Congratulations! What a day! I'm still missing two of those, but I'm not giving up hope quite yet.
-
The glow in the dark moon looks spectacular!
-
Sure jpbarr! I will send you something this weekend.
-
Ooh, brilliant! Love the green quote too. So happy for you!

Very interesting that this thread should come up right now! I got my first geocoin for my birthday in 2010. It was the Norwegian geocoin 2007. Of course I understood that it was beautiful, but I didn't realize that it was rare and might disappear fast if I sent it out travelling: http://coord.info/TB1AV86 Well, my coin went travelling that same day, its goal was to visit all 18 states of Norway. By the end of 2011 it had managed 16! After that, a year with movements only in the wrong directions, but still not stolen. Finally, yesterday, a fellow geocacher from another part of the country brought the coin back to me. Now it sits right here in my drawer together with my collection of other Norwegian coins. I wish that the coin will visit the last two states, but I'm too scared that it will disappear. I hope to finish the journey myself, or perhaps in the hands of someone I know I can trust.

Pingos has been very kind and helpful in the past, so I would also like to help out. I don't have the crazy teen version, but I have the other versions of the cache dragon coin. If any of those would work as a replacement, I'd be happy to send it to you.

Hi! I also love those carousel animals. I have been lucky to collect most of the horses, but I'm still missing two versions. I don't have any horses for trade, but let me know if you start looking for a carousel lion. Different horses show up on the eplace quite regularly, though. Unicorn coin: There are a few, perhaps you mean any of these? Colonel H. George Cachington Unicorn: http://geocointrader.net/edition/375/ Li'l Dreamer 2009 Geocoin http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=2849137 ... or this unicorn that I'm not sure of the name of: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Sparkling-Unicorn-Geocoin-Trackable-Geocaching-/280694425223 GeoJellies - would you be interested in a v4 ectoplasma version?
-
I have some extras of some recent Norwegian and/or viking related coins. If anyone is interested, please contact me through my profile. Top line: 2 versions of the recent Geoscientia rock carving coin + 2012 Norwegian viking event geocoin. Middle line: Grenlandsmafiaen 2012, honoring Norwegian writer Henrik Ibsen + front and back of the very recent (2013) Vestfold Vikings geocoin. Bottom line: Haugalandet Haugesund (a region of Norway, coin launched a few months ago) + Fonnåsspenna (geocoin version of an ancient piece of jewlery) + Grenlandsmafiaen 2010, Heddal stave church.
-
My new coins the last 1-2 months: Some new and some not-so-new (I was not clever enough to put all the new ones in the same image):
-
Amazing! Congratulations! Thanks for sharing.

I agree with scificollector, and I know I haven't been great at submitting myself. OK, here's an idea... Would I be allowed to host a cointest, where each coin entry is a cointest entry? dimkasmir, would you be able to identify the persons that have submitted each entry, and provide some sort of list of IDs of the approved entries, so that I could do a draw? If not, perhaps we could allow people to post in a thread each time they have submitted a coin entry? The cointest hasn't started - I'm hoping for feedback on the feasibility of such a cointest first, before I fix the time frame, prize, etc.
-
And I love the fun part in the trackable code space. Already preparing our event for 3.14.15 9:26:54 (got to round off at some point, right?)
-
I have finally received the last coin from SCIFICOLLECTOR - the one that had to be resent a little while ago. Thanks for the extra present! And thanks to our host and all participants for another successful Math Trade!
-
That is so cool! I will see if I am able to resist this treat, once I see the real thing...
-
All packages I have sent have been received. (Let me know if I'm mistaken.) I have received all packages except the one from scificollector. No worries, I'm happy the mailer didn't go missing, waiting patiently for the second try.
-
Thanks! Would it be possible to introduce a gallery function where the most newly added coins are shown first? Would be useful when I want to go through the newly added coins to add my keepers/seekers/traders - and at a later stage, I guess, to see the most recently produced coins.
-
I'm trying to add a new edition to the Birka coin, but when I submit, I get a plain "server error" message.
-
Thanks! Image uploaded. I would suggest to add the required image size to the submission page. And perhaps we could be allowed to upload any size for the "other" image? I understand that you need a quite large image for display in the gallery, but when you enter the coin's page, I believe a small image is better than no image. The functionality for adding coins to keeper/seeker lists is really neat and efficient! This will certainly increase the likelyhood that people will bother with registering their coins. I was wondering, is it worth adding a text field per coin, to be displayed on the coin page? In the case of the coin that I submitted, I would like to write that the total mintage number is 300, but this is divided between three editions, and the number of coins per edition is unknown.
