  1. Well, the last I heard on this subject was from a very reliable source that said there was a trails meeting on Saturday, and that they were going to establish a policy there regarding caching. As I say this is from a very good source who has really good contacts with the state parks dept. Happy Hunting, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  2. Well, I hope Spidey makes it to New York. RW Da Man!!!

  4. Well, I know alot of people on here think Wal-Mart is a bad word, but they do have a decent selection of GPS Receivers in both the Garmin and Magellan line. Just trying to help, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  5. I dont think there is a cache that is canoe accessible around Murfreesboro unless you want to go over to the Dequeen and canoe on Dequeen Lake, then you could hit the Red Wasp cache, and be the first to do so, or in the Crater of Diamonds park there is the Diamonds in the Rough cache, but make sure you wear plenty of insect repellent as when I was there the bugs were awful, and cant be too careful with the West Nile bugs running around. Happy Hunting, Rusty RW Da Man!!!

  7. I was just wondering if someone in Illinois might know anything about my Spiderman travel bug, he was last seen in the I&M Canal Cache by Grampa. If anyone could give me any info on this bug I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Rusty RW Da Man!!!

  9. I was just wondering, does the heat keep people from hunting this time of year? Or do you just drink plenty of water, use plenty of bug spray and keep going? Seems like things have really slowed down in Arkansas and NE Texas over the past couple of weeks, course maybe its because the heat index today is supposed to be 105-110... Oh well, was sitting here in the AC just thinking about that. Thoughts anyone? Happy Hunting and Stay Cool, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  10. I dont know about that. Seems like someone is trying to make a buck to me, but then as my fiance is quick to say, I see the negative pretty easily sometimes. I would be curious as to know if the person selling this is really into geocaching, or if they just thought it was a way to make some cache. Besides I do agree, making the cache up yourself is half the fun, at least to me. Happy Hunting, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  11. I have seen cokes explode from being too hot, course I have seen them explode from being too cold also. I left a coke in my truck one time during the winter and it got really cold that night. Needless to say it was a mess..... I think I would pass on the coke, and stick to leaving bottled water as a beverage of choice. Just my opinion though, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  12. Well, I am glad I got everyones opinion on this topic. I was just wondering how everyone felt. I know its not PC, but doesnt seem like many people here are. Which I have to say is fine with me!! My fiance says I am not PC at all. Thanks to everyone for voting and expressing their opinion. Happy Hunting, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  13. I was just wondering how everyone felt about having pocket knives or knives in general in caches. It seems here lately more and more are having them in there. My opinion is I try to get them out when I find one, by trading of course, but I dont think kids should be able to get their hands on them. Any other comments? Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  14. Just wanted everyone to know. I just started a Cache out by the lake where I live. People can come bag a cache, and a fish all in one day. Enjoy, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  15. Well, I am sorta still from Arkansas, started Geocaching there, now I live in Texarkana,Tx. I am in Arkansas most everyday though, and my parents and my fiance's mom still live there so I think that should count. Happy Caching, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  16. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me why you would place a cache on the side of a FM Road. I mean I am all for hunting a good cache and I have found a few, in several different states, but no state has more caches just in the middle of no where than there is in East Texas. Can anyone explain it to me? I have hid a cache and it is in a park, I just dont see why its happening. Just Curious, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  17. Ok, I was able to get into the Benchmark pages the other day, now that I want to actually load a few into the ole Mag 315 and do a little hunting I cant get back to the page. I thought it was Shift and Reload from the main page, but I cant get it to work. Can anyone tell me how to get to the benchmark hunting page??? Thanks for the Info Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  18. Well, I am getting ready for a good road trip. Going to the Coke 600 in Charlotte over Memorial Day weekend. Since I am driving I am going to keep the Mag 315 on high alert. Can anyone tell me of any good caches to visit on my way between say Memphis and Winston-Salem, or even down into the Charlotte area? Any suggestions would be great, not going to have alot of time to cache but want to track down a couple for sure. I do know of a couple around Knoxville, but past that I have no idea. Thanks and Happy Hunting, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  19. You could have the bug travel to sensitive countries like Afghanistan. I know having had a security clearance that are off-limits and notify-before-you-consider-going countries. Like Somalia, Yemen, North Korea, Cuba, Arkansas, Chad, etc. (I might have made one of those up LoL That is too funny........Oh wait I used to live there......LoL Rusty RW Da Man!!! RW Da Man!!!
  20. I recently ran into this problem while visiting the SW Virginia Area around Marion. I found several caches in a state park that had not a thing but junk. I left a couple of things in a couple and the more difficult one I couldnt find. Kinda glad after I was in the others. It doesn't seem that hard to trade stuff. I don't have alot to trade but I do have some neat stuff. Just my Opinion Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  21. You and Darth stay safe, however you track him I would love to know the general area of where he goes and hopefully he will make it back safe and sound to me one fine day. Be Safe and God Bless, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  22. I think its great to restore a cache, I have done that once so far when I got to the location it was obvious the rubbermaid container had been run over by a tractor. I was going to town so picked up a nice new ammo can and took it back and repaired it. I think its cool, because now even though I was not the one who set the cache originally its almost like its partly mine, and thats kinda cool at least in my opinion. Just my two cents worth, Rusty RW Da Man!!!
  23. Well, looks like my job is sending me back to NE Texas. I look forward to getting out and doing a little caching down that way. Happy Hunting, Rusty
  24. Hey I would say that was pretty good timing. I just happened to be up Bristol way and decided to do a little caching while going to the race. Picked Shaggy up and he is safe and sound in Arkansas. Will be dropping him off soon. Rusty
