  1. I actually have a box of those in my freezer. Im just worried about keeping stuff cold. I figure we'd get started on the trails a few hours, and need to keep stuff cold. Maybe I'll just break down and get some MREs.
  2. I'm planning a trip to a local recreation area with my kids in a few weeks to pick up some caches along the trails. What I don't want to do is to have to stop at 11, turn around to find a place to eat, then come back. I have a surplus army backpack with a fair amount of space, so I'm wondering what people would suggest for a lunch for a dad and two kids that didn't necessarily have to be kept cold (I'm thinking MREs might just be a bit of overkill).
  3. Yes, I'll take $55 for it. I can take money order, PayPal (verified address), or Bluebird. Contact me at fergusonjason@gmail.com for payment instructions.
  4. Two travel bugs, 4 containers (3 micros and a small... unfortunately one of the micros was a bison... BOO!!! Oh well, it was an awesome gift), and a car magnet.
  5. I can go $55 to cover the shipping. If interested, I can take payment via Paypal (verified), Bluebird, or Money Order.
  6. I upgraded to a GPSMap 62s, so I don't need the old one. I'd like to get $60 for it to throw in towards my wife's Christmas present. Item is working, but I don't have the box or software for it (manual and software is on the site, works fine with GSAK). I'll throw in a USB cable as well. Jason
  7. I own an Etrex Legend H. However, the memory is quite limited, so I'd like to know if there is a built in way to dump all loaded waypoints and caches without doing a factory reset. Jason
  8. Yes, North Korea would probably be worse. I've been there "technically": I took the tour of the DMZ and stepped across the line down the middle of the room. But that was quite awhile back... wouldn't mind hunting in South Korea at all, especially going back to Mt Taedun.
  9. One day I was randomly punching in locations around the world to see how many caches were at various places (the ones in Greenland were kind of interesting). I then punched in Beijing. I don't know about the rest of you, but I really think being a Caucasian American citizen walking around the capital city of a restrictive Communist nation with a GPS would require a stealth rating of at least 10. Even if you had your choice of ANYWHERE, where would you NOT go?
  10. Being incredibly busy, I tend to forget about things like the 10/10/10 event. However, I had been trying to get to a new one near home for about 2 weeks and just happened to make it on 10/10/10. I totally forgot about the event until the next day. Of course, the next day, wife/kids/I logged 19.
  11. I originally bought an Etrex H and ended up returning it a few days later, mostly because of the same USB issue you mentioned, but also because of difficulty entering coordinates manually. I ended up going to a large local electronics store (won't mention the name, but it was an Awesome Purchase) and found a Legend H. The Legend H cost as much as the Etrex H would have if I had bought the cord (another $25), but has mapping, geocaching features, and I can manually enter a waypoint. Of course, from personal experience, make sure you know how to enter a waypoint BEFORE going out the first time, especially if you are going out to find a puzzle cache with an easily annoyed significant other...
