Yes, I'm having the same lock up problem when calculating or re-calculating a route. It's when I select "Follow Road" or "Off Road" (doesn't matter which), then it locks up before the "Calculating..." screen appears. It's random, happening maybe 1 out of 4 times. Using ver. 3.70 firmware, haven't used any other version as I just got the 60C a few days ago.

Ok, I've got a lock up problem with my 60C. It's when I use the Find function, then select a waypoint, then select Go To, then when I choose Follow Road or Off Road... my 60C randomly locks up before it gets to "Calculating...". To clear it, I have to remove the batteries, then power back up. I'm using ver. 3.7 of the firmware. I just got my 60C 4 days ago, and one of the first things I did was update the firmware, so I can't compare the problem with an earlier version. Has anyone else seen this lock up problem with their 60 series?

Thanks to all for the help! It worked just fine, once I told EasyGPS what kind of GPSr I had. Duh. My son and I are going to be heading out to our first cache in an hour or so! Thanks again to everyone! WOOOOOOOF!

What application did you have to use to download the waypoint with the Geocache icon? Can you use EasyGPS to do this?

Hey everyone... sorry for the newbie question, but I've searched and researched, and still can't make a firm decision. I'm wanting to buy a GPSr for geocaching, and maybe a little bit of car use. I've narrowed my choices down to these: 1. Garmin eTrex Legend-C 2. Magellan SporTrak Pro 3. Garmin GPSMAP 60C With the rebates offered right now by Garmin, the first two can be had for approx. the same money. If you were limited to these two, which one would you buy, and why? I've included the 60C as my third choice, even though it is approx. $100 more than the other two. Is the extra $100 worth it, and why? Also, has anyone compared the topo map products from each company? Is Garmin's MapSource better than Magellan's MapSend, or vice versa, and why? This may play an important factor in my decision. I really appreciate any help and info you can provide. My family and I are eager to start geocaching, and we just want to make sure we buy a GPSr that will serve our needs, but won't be overkill. At the same time, we don't want to find ourselves feeling the need to upgrade in 6 months either. -TD2K5
